What a fantastic stay my partner and I had here! There’s loads of small touches that we greatly appreciated and Julia is a wonderful host. Couldn’t recommend this place more, if you’re staying in Langford.

Definitely had to upgrade from what Booking.com booked for us. It was the lowest quality room they had. The service and staff were excellent. After upgrading to an ocean view and balcony the bedroom and bathroom were very good size but the bed was way too hard. I had to stack up the towels to make it softer for my hips. The restaurant service was good, the chef even spiced up my tuna bowl for me. Even for October the gardens were beautiful with fire pots and comfy chairs. Nice veranda with beautiful view from the restaurant. Good happy hour menu and drinks list. Beautiful place to go to in October. Excellent resort for weddings.

Most noted was lack of signage to direct tourists to the sights outlined in the travel brochure for the area.
Very heavy traffic on the highway thru the main street town. Local retailers and people we met were very nice and accommodated our queries about the area. Will visit again. Trail to Sandcut Beach was a beautiful rain forest experience. Mile 14 and 17 Mile Pub are very nice restaurants with a variety menu. Sooke Brewing Co. and Sooke Oceanside Brewery both have excellent craft brews available.

Great hiking from Aylard's Farm.
Great hiking from Aylard's Farm. A lovely view from Sooke Point and there is a short hiking trail there too leading to a splendid view point and a small beach. Port Renfrew worth visiting because of the Botany Bay and Botanical Beach. All beaches between Sooke and Port Renfrew are worth seeing. We finished our stay with the trail along the river -Sooke Potholes.
Great pizza oven baked in Shirley.

Visit to Sooke Potholes, an area on the Sooke river. In the river gorge with various natural pools to swim in.
Not touristy, very friendly locals, both hospitality staff and public we met out walking.
Nice eateries, but some closed Monday & Tuesday.

Sooke, township is a disgrace in town planning, ..there is none. We went into the town and did not find a nice place to stop. What a shame. this town could have been so lovely. Getting around is difficult.
Walking at Whiffin Spit is lovely.
So very sad to see Sooke Harbour House gone for a huge new development.

Love the harbour setting.
Love the harbour setting. Hiked along the Sooke Potholes.....also walked the Ed MacGregor Park walkway down to the beach area and watched several crab fisherman at work. Then out to the Whiffinspit for another nice jaunt. Bought groceries and gas. Nice little visit with relatives. Ate at the 17 Mile Pub back towards Victoria. Great setting.
The resort is located on one of the most scenic point of the Sooke Coast. The view to the sea and the Olympic Mountain is unobstructed. Scenery, peace and proximity to milles of pristine hiking trails are its main attraction. Don’t expect easy access to restaurants or proximity to touristic attractions. The units are very private, comfortable and tastefully appointed. If one can tear oneself from the spectacle of the sea, there are huge TVs and gas fireplaces to enjoy. The staff is friendly, relax and helpful.
The owner was easy to reach and responded quickly to my questions. The location is in close proximity to downtown Sooke, restaurants and sights. The suite was roomy and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The suite was pet friendly and there was a little fenced yard with a fire pit area with fairy lights which was a nice bonus.
Thank you for the coffee & milk to enjoy each morning.Loved watching all the humming birds. The chicken coop reminded me of home.
Beautifully decorated.Body wash in shower was thought ful.Location was so convenient, only 6 min away from friends. We enjoyed exploring East Sooke, hiking Iron mine trail & Pikes point yesterday. Will be back.
Just a simple little apartment that was the perfect size for cycle tourists. We arrived by bike and did have to get to the top of the hill, but there was plenty of space to relax, tea and snacks helped us unwind after a day of 70k+ of cycling. It had everything we needed and it was quiet and cozy. A 15 minute walk from downtown Sooke.
The front desk was nice but, the room was not clean with blood spots in the bathroom, the bed was with very wrinkled bedsheets and didn’t look clean at all. We were told that they don’t have enough stuff to properly manage the hotel. In addition, it was challenge to make reservation in the restaurant.
This was a great spot! The view of the Sooke Basin from the window of The Captain's Perch was stellar. You could walk out onto the Galloping Goose Trail from the backyard. The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub also overlooked the Sooke Basin and the sunsets were gorgeous.
Perfect location for a soul reviving getaway. Quite clean, beautiful location, close to yummy restaurants, beautiful beaches, and cute stores. I went on quite a few hiking and biking adventures, so the secluded hot tub and comfy beds were a definite plus.
Really enjoyed our stay in Sooke and loved this property. My cousins from England and I stayed two nights and this unit had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the location was great to day trips from.
Location was very good for exploring Sooke and vicinity, linens were clean, beds comfortable (did not use hide-a-bed but others report very uncomfortable), resort grounds and setting very picturesque.
Love the set up! Cute little tiny cabin, don't worry there is window coverings!
Great spot, central in Sooke but not too central. Close to beaches and parks, restaurants and grocery stores.
condos were clean and the ability to open the wall up to the ocean is amazing. great views and an amazing location for sure.
definitely a bit of a drive from sooke but worth every bit of it.
Proximity to Sooke & environment. The hot tub is wonderful. Minimum contact with proprietor(s). Suited our purposes. Bed comfortable; bathroom & shower first rate!
The location to local restaurants in walking distance. Very clean and new. Had all the amenities in the kitchenette. Provided coffee and soaps. Comfortable bed.
