We really did not spend much time in Port aux Basques.
We really did not spend much time in Port aux Basques. Just spent the night. The next morning we continued our trip to Norris Point. Maybe, next time we will take the time to investigate Port aux Basques.

We stayed in port aux basques the night we arrived on the island and the night before departing. It is a nice town to visit. Did just a bit of driving to see what was there. We ate at a restaurant in Margaree and it was not a good experience for us. Very long wait. One and a half hours to get food once order was placed.

I travelled down the west coast to see the fishing ports and the scenery. I was not disappointed, when I travelled down the coast, it was late in the afternoon and the sunset and scenery was marvellous. Great memories!

We just stayed overnight after taking the ferry.
We just stayed overnight after taking the ferry. We were on our way to Gros Morne NP and should have driven a couple of hours to a different town. We were worried to have to drive in the dark but in July thiswouldn't have been a problem.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who were going through a terrible time with Hurricane Fiona was absolutely amazing. It is an older hotel, clean and well cared for with such a friendly ambience. It is not a new luxurious spot but it is very clean and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. We would recommend this to anyone.
The staff were extremely friendly on both my stays here. The hotel is very close to the Nova Scotia & Newfoundland ferrys which is great. It's also within walking distance to Tim Hortons. The rooms are modest but clean & the beds are comfortable.
While the hotel exterior won't win any architectural awards, don't be put off by its factory-like appearance: the room was clearly recently renovated and extremely comfortable. It's easy to find and to explore the nearby boardwalk.
This was the perfect location for taking the ferry from Nova Scotia. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room had character but was entirely clean and attractive. The people at the front desk were friendly and efficient. The restaurant servers kept our coffee cups full and our meals on the table quickly.
Close to the ferry, very good resturant, room was very clean, and bed was superb. Everything worked a expected. If you are taking the noon ferry, book this hotel in advance - it's the best in PAB!
Location from the ferry was excellent. They allowed us to check-in early in the morning. We liked that the hotel had an in-house restaurant and the food was good. We would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is just a five minute drive from the ferry. We enjoyed our food at the restaurant and a supermarket was also just a five minute drive. We liked it enough to book a return stay!
great location right off the highway. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. The internet worked well and was easy to connect to. The beds were comfortable.
