I think the hotel was originally built in the Socialist era. However, the room was refurbished to a basic but comfortable standard. The rest of the hotel is a work in progress. Several breakfast options, rather than a buffet. Huge portions for items on the dinner menu.

The host was extremely helpful and kind. She contacted me almost immediately after I made the reservation and she was available throughout our stay.
