The town has enough shops, supermarkets and banks, even has its own hospital! We ate at the golf country club and the rsl. Both nice venues, food was average, but eatable. Everything was within walking distance, just need to watch out for uneven road and footpath surfaces. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there again though.

It’s a great country town. People are very friendly. Bain Park was beautiful. I loved all the cafes. Star Chinese takeaway was excellent. Vibe cafe was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Parking and walking are an easy way to enjoy Wauhope. I would not stay at the Star Boutique or eat at the Hasting Hotel.

Cute little motel. Aged but kept in nice shape.

Cute little motel. Aged but kept in nice shape. Little squishy regarding the parking and the bathroom but only stayed 1 night as we were travelling a long distance & it was located halfway. Probably a little pricey in my opinion for the room but overall happy with my stay. Stay were super friendly!

I have been coming up to Wauchope since I was about 6.

I have been coming up to Wauchope since I was about 6. My Aunty lives up there and I always used to come up and stay with her in the holidays. Then my mum and dad retired up there back in 1992. It is just the perfect place to go, whether you are a family or a couple...there is something for everyone. The locals are lovely and so friendly, the quaint little shops are just so nice to go into and the food and coffee up there is beautiful! My future plan is to actually retire up there myself!

    Wauchope is a small town.

Wauchope is a small town. It was just a shame the shops were,nt open Saturday afternoon, as most people staying for the weekend would enjoy shopping and all shops were closed Sunday. Think they should reassess their opening times.

It was an excellent motel, booked last minute as we were driving by and options were limited. Did not meet any personnel as check-in after hours was automated and check out was dropping the keys into a box. Very quiet and calm place, enough parking even if place seemed fully booked, mostly construction workers at the time. Overall a pleasant surprise.

For a country town motel, the facilities were fantastic - pool, Bbq, tennis courts and an entertainment room! The out of hours check in was exceptional and very easy. The bathroom was renovated and very clean.

Our car was being repaired in Wauchope & we were repeatedly told different times it would be ready. This resulted in changing our booking three times. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
