This was one of the best properties we have stayed in! The attention to detail was first class. It was immaculately clean ,beautifully styled and lots of lovely little touches like breakfast and a pizza in the freezer, beautiful towels, lovely shower products and the most comfortable bed ! Great location, short walk to the Main Street but set in a very quiet position.

The ambiance and peacefulness of the property immediately made you relax. The Cottage for Two was clean and tidy and Gwen’s attention to detail was appreciated by us both. The fresh home cooked bread, biscuits and jams were also a wonderful extra.

What a little gem, just out of town 5 minutes drive. Best equiped kitchen i have seen. Little patio to view the sunset, seen kangaroos, over looking farmland and you could see the colours of the autumn trees all over the hillside and a climpse into town. Short drive to many places such as Dangar Gorge, Gostwyck Chapel, history of Thunderbolt. Armidale streets were spectacular with autumn colour.
Bath with a view but a bit chilly this time of the year.
Dog was welcome.
I stayed in The Studio.

The accommodation was beautiful, especially for a country town.
The town had a lovely friendly atmosphere, with all the locals happy to share their beautiful town and its history. There were lovely shops to look in and plenty of places to eat.
Overall, a lovely place to visit.

Lovely country town.
Lovely country town. Heritage walk around town marks specific heritage buildings. Great Pub, The Top Pub, with great food. 2nd Pub being renovated. Several cafes to choose from. Highly recommend The Alternate Route for breakfast, coffee and cake. Nice shops and antique shops. End of July but not too cold. Walked around in the day with no need for a coat.

Uralla was a brilliant surprise!!
Uralla was a brilliant surprise!! A really dynamic little town, with lovely locals. Uralla seems to be a growing hub for locally produced food, beer and crafts. Great vibe. Really not at all what I was expecting. Any country town that is cool enough for the teenagers to stay and work is doing something right.

Uralla is a beautiful small town with a hipe of activities.
Uralla is a beautiful small town with a hipe of activities. It has an assortment of Antique shops, book shops, old clothing stores and lots of cafes and takeaway food places.
The two hotels are thriving and the old historial buildings in and around the main street are a must to see.
Even the museum is a must see on your list too. So much history of Uralla to see inside and the history of THUNDERBOLT the bush ranger is amazing to see !!
There is also a tourist bureau on the main street that points you to all the historial points in Uralla.
Definitely a town to explore for a wander around the streets and perhaps if you have a bit of extra time, some gold panning in the near by creeks and/or river beds.

Uralla is a funky little town that is open on weekends and public holidays. There are lots of little shops and artisan wares to view around town. There is also some good cycling down country roads to experience the beautiful landscape. There are nearby gin distilleries, a brewery and various cafes for dining and drinking. Winter in Uralla would be fun too, lots of fireside options.
This one bedroom cottage close to Uralla has views over the surrounding hills, a verandah with comfy chairs to watch the sunset and all we can hear is the occasional bleat of a sheep. Gwen left us freshly baked bread and the makings of a country breakfast. In the morning the sun streams through the kitchen window onto the small table, ideal for two. This place is a restorative stop between Sydney and Brisbane, a short drive off the New England Highway. Next time we will stay longer.
We were pleasantly surprised on entry with how lovely the apartment is: large, newly renovated and tastefully furnished, with a superb bathroom and a well-provisioned kitchen. The kitchen leading directly onto a big and well-tended private garden with BBQ area was a bonus. The hosts had thought of every detail to make us welcome. The location being round the corner from shops and cafes of lovely Uralla was perfect.
a continental breakfast was provided, with extras as well - bacon and farm eggs, home-made bread - the cottage was very well laid out - log fire warmed the whole unit - bed was very comfortable - there were large areas of lawn and garden to walk around - it was very close to Uralla where we had a function to attend - the view on the porch overlooking a valley was lovely
Gorgeous and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Great quiet location, lovely outdoor space, easy access and good communication from the host. Perfect place for our Christmas day while driving up the New England Highway. Uralla is a lovely town in a great region.
Uralla is a very friendly town. We did not meet any staff at the Altona. We were advised our room number by text and the key was left in our room. The amenities were adequate for our one night stay and the room very clean and tidy.
Clover Cottage is like a home away from home! It was immaculate, warm & cosy, well appointed, and plenty of food for a good breakfast with tea or coffee! We will definitely stay again when visiting Uralla later in the year.
This was without a doubt one of the nicest places we have stayed on holidays. The perfect mix of elegance and comfort. The garden was beautiful and the places had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
We really liked the wood combustion fire. Uralla in the middle of winter is very cold, however The Bower is comfortably warm and cozy. The bathroom is also very well appointed with a very luxe ambience.
The room was spacious and nicely decorated. It is being restored at present , and has many original features. It is located in the centre of Uralla. It is a short walk anywhere in the town.
Everything was wonderful at Kings Cottage. Such a comfortable home with everything you could need. Beautiful place to stay with easy access to the main street of Uralla.
