Breakfast let the place down, with a bowl full of mouldy bread rolls, that had been there for quite a while, as they were blue. Wouldn't even dear touch the eggs, as who knows how long they had been there for as well.

Bella Villa, hotel in Scottsdale

Featuring free WiFi, Bella Villa offers central accommodation in a garden setting. Launceston is 61 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site.

Large lounge and kitchen area that was tidy and homely. Quiet with off street parking for both units at the rear of the property. We arrived late (dark) and the rear security light was on for us to gain access via the rear of the property. Aircon/heat worked well in the chill. We popped around to the Little River brewrey on Friday night and the hotel for a pub meal on Saturday. Driving to Bridport or any of the small towns in the area is easy and worth a visit. Mt Paris Dam was a must see for us - 4wd/truck from Brankholm end of rd (very rutted gravel rd) or if you have a car go in from the Weldborough township end (smoother gravel rd).

Frustrating over getting code after booking online.

Frustrating over getting code after booking online. Gave our email address but the code was text to us and it was sent to the guest. Very frustrating. Luckily the young lady working in the restaurant helped us otherwise I would’ve been very angry. Frustrating not being able to talk with anyone it’s all text.

Scottdale is a pretty rural area not far from the coast. There is a rail trail going through the middle of town. The local gin brewing bar was a great place to visit. A day trip to the coast at Bridport was a pleasant day with a good lunch at the Bridport RSL and a Gin tasting at the town's new Brewery.

Scottsdale on a Saturday after lunch time is dead.

Scottsdale on a Saturday after lunch time is dead. The locals all flock to the local cafe Dell-vette which serves the most delicious meals. We tried the Pea and Ham soup, got to be the best ever. The Salvos op shop was open so managed to purchase a book from them. Supermarket and pub also remain open but in general main shopping strip is closed.
