Ross really is a lovely historic town in the midland heart of Tasmania.
We enjoyed our accommodation, the dinner at local hotel, strolling through the shops next morning, exploring beautiful Ross Bridge, then onto The Ross Female Factory - fascinating - so well done - befire finishing off with a scallop pie at lunch time (two great bakeries) before heading to Devonport.
We wanted to stop and take in special places in our holiday and Ross certainly was one.

Lots of history. Everything was in close proximity.
Lots of history. Everything was in close proximity. Information plaques on most notable homes etc. Beautifully kept cottage gardens. Stay included a Monday and Tuesday and found a few businesses closed because of weekend trading. Bakery 31 our favourite eating place. Plenty of shops to find that special gift. Everywhere staff were friendly and helpful.

There are many beautifully restored historical homes both large and small and businesses like award-winning bakeries and the Man'o' Ross pub. The town is flanked by large sheep and cropping properties within rolling and undulating hills and mountain ranges running north/south on both sides.

Ross is a historic Tasmanian town with its amazing sandstone bridge and village houses and churches. The streets are wide and quiet to take a leisurely stroll for sightseeing and taking photos. For meals there's the Ross hotel, bakery and a fish and chip shop.
The motel was very close walk to the Main Street with bakeries, coffee shops gift shops etc & very quiet & peaceful in the most beautiful heritage town of Ross. We could drive our car right to the front door. The heater was on when we got there & they even called us to let us know our room was ready to check in ahead of time. Electric blankets were nice & warm on the beds. Very clean & tide room
A Georgian cottage as old as the famous bridge we’d come to see - what more could we want? Cosy set up with logs burning on the fuel heater when we arrived and we’re welcomed by the manager. All the modern facilities, even wi fi fitted in with country charm. Bed and bathroom fine. Central location so we could walk Ross easily.
Located right in front of the river with beautiful views, nice and quiet motel, clean and comfortable, very cute, classic building fits the feeling of the town "Ross" perfectly!
Service was very good and warm, feedback very fast and helpful, we had a great time stay here, many thanks!
It was really cosy and beautiful. There has been so much love put into decorating. Nice timber throughout the little house. It has everything someone needs and much much more. Situated just outside of town in a lovely, quiet garden. Definitely would stay there again when in Ross
Our host Leanne, was fantastic. The town of Ross, is just magical, friendly, and very historic. Loved the fact that we slept in a cottage, built by convicts, almost 200 years ago, and right in the main street, opposite, some of Tasmania's best bakeries, and dining locations.
Great location, near where I was working. Well insulated cool during the hot day, warm during the cool nights. Love the garden with a lot of fruit trees and birds. Big bathroom with spa was lovely to relax in. Very cosy stay in a unique heritage spot.
Spotless presentation, and a generous self-catered breakfast. Attractive, well maintained garden. The hosts were lovely, too. The town has two bakeries and a hotel. We had dinner at the hotel - it was well above average pub-food.
Simply beautiful, clean, bright, pleasant place. Loved it so much, wished we could have spent more time but it was literally just a pass through. I might go back and trat myself though. See Ross more than driving by it.
Located just down the road from main street of Ross. Yet again another excellent breakfast supplied with home made jams and home grown produce. I don't mind putting on healthy kilos. Thanks for our stay Diane
LOVED the location, directly opposite the bakery. Easy walk to and from the hotel for dinner. The hosts had prepared EVERY little detail. even each tea bag had been wrapped!

Ross is great, well worth a visit!
Staff looked after us very well. Full continental breakfast provided. Great location just across the road from coffee/bakery and a short stroll for dinner.
