Orange has lovely wineries & a good range of cafes/restaurants. Breakfast at Byng Street cafe is a must as is a casual meal at the Agristic Grocer. Lovely country vistas & friendly people as well as interesting shops.

We enjoyed the town, the wineries were lovely, although some don't open during the week, that was disappointing. People were very friendly, knowledgeable and made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Lake Canobalas was beautiful, child friendly, lovely cafe and lovely place to walk and relax. Richard our taxi driver went above and beyond organising another driver to pick us up later that night as he was finishing his shift. A big thank you to him. Tourist information centre excellent very helpful staff. Toured some of the cellar doors. Travelled to Cowra which was well worth the visit. Also the Ophir Gold where gold first discovered in NSW. Orange really has nothing for the tourist.
Orange really has nothing for the tourist. It's a nice town, but you've seen it all in a day or so. It's a bit of a drab place. We ate at local returned servicemens club which was excellent Parking is a pain; it's reverse angle.
