The location was lovely. Sat and watched the sun go down and fishing boats coming in on the bank of the mouth of the ocean. Very quiet spot and the house was extremely roomy, except for the bathroom. It was a little cramped, but having said that, the shower was lovely and hot. Had all the basics needed to prepare a meal. Great stay.

Nornalup Riverside Chalets, hotel in Nornalup

Nornalup Riverside Chalets offers accommodation with a kitchen in Nornalup. Fitted with a terrace, the units feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom.

We were very happy with our studio chalet. Fabulous short stroll to the river. Walk down to jetty where you have a lovely table with seating facing the river as you have a meal. Dip your feet in the cool refreshing water and watch the sunset. We did not use the chalet provided kayaks but they were available to borrow. Very basic, clean and practical accomodation. Everything we needed was provided - very comfy beds, TV/DVD player, lounge, dining table/ chairs, portable heater, pedestal fan, good shower, crisp linen, well equipped kitchen including crockery, utensils, pans, sandwich press, microwave, Nespresso machine, portable stove, large fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, oven gloves, tea towels, coffee pods, instant coffee, tea bags, sugar, small uht milk, great nightlight, soap, broom, dustpan. All our needs were sufficiently catered for. Thanks to the chalet staff and owners for thoughtful amenities for a great stay. We never saw the staff but knew we could contact the office if needed.

Crystal Springs Holiday Accommodation, hotel in Nornalup

Set in Walpole in the Western Australia region, Crystal Springs Holiday Accommodation has a patio and lake views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

It was in a rural location albeit a bit out of town but it meant a tranquil spot to relax in. Once we settled in, it was cosy and Grant showed us how to light the fireplace. Which was a bonus as the night was getting chilly. And there were birds in the garden.

A delightful hamlet on the banks of the beautiful Frankland River. The small community appear to be keeping it as natural as possible, never change that! The restaurant is a treat with a diverse menu, and caters for children.

Nornalup is a small village style community that we have often driven past in order to explore other more popular locations. For this trip we had more time to stop and explore so we decided to book a chalet at Nornalup Riverside Chalets, along the Franklin River. What a great decision. Nornalup is a beautful and relaxing location with friendly people and loads to see, including a rich local history. We spent time kayaking along the river, swimming and exploring local sites. The area is bursting with flora and forna over a diverse landscape. Paddling along the pristine Franklin, walking or fishing along local beaches, 4x4 driving to different coastal locations, coffee, wine and local eateries all make for a complete get away experience. Nornalup is an unsung hero in our South West. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

The town itself was so beautiful.

The town itself was so beautiful. We drove down and spent the day and night in Nornalup and then drove to Denmark and Albany and it was great. I think I could have done 2 days in Nornalup because we really crammed to get everything done but wanted to see as much as possible while down there
