Hotel Etico at Mount Victoria Manor, hotel in Mount Victoria

Hotel Etico at Mount Victoria Manor is the place where holidays create opportunities.

The entire atmosphere of the establishment was exceptional. I particularly liked that the whole premise of this hotel was to help train people to get into the hospitality industry.

A lovely escape to a world easily forgotten, wonderful antiques adorned the guest house and the staff were quite lovely. Yes quite different from your up market city hotels but its quaintness and surrounds were perfect.

Furthest mountain location from Sydney, so a longer journey, but quieter when you get there. Lots of picturesque view points that are easy to get to. Having your own car will be the best way to see Mount Victoria. Not many restaurants or cafes nearby, so either cook at home or be prepared to drive back to Blackheath, Leura or Katoomba for wider restaurant choice. Definitely recommend seeing a movie at Mount Vic Flicks!

Mt Victoria is an unusual destination, not much there apart from the wonderful Victoria and Albert and a few small shops. Lot of buildings are closed or in process of restoration. It is right on the Great Western Highway, so easy to get to. Very close to some my favourite parts of the Mountains, Mt York, Blackheath, Hartley and Little Hartley, etc.

We came on a public holiday weekend so didn't get to see much. We went to RoseyRavelston bookstore experience and had a blast! Driving around Mt Victoria is easy and I highly recommend it for a quick and quiet getaway. There are tonnes of shops nearby in Leura and plenty of local cafes.

Tranquil, clean environment and what a surprise to find a vegan cafe/restaurant in the area 'Moon To Moon Cafe' which I can recommend ever so highly and I'm a *non* vegan. Just that venue and *my* stay at 'Hotel Etico' truly warrant a return.

    1. Great food, love the Beef Bourguignon very much even we are not very fancy at western food. 2. We love that we can always get hot water, cold water, tea and milk in the dining area. It is even more convenient than in a 5-star hotel that you need to boil water yourself. 3. Very considerate - my wife said this. I didn’t realize at all. The electric blankets are intentionally bought as 2 separate ones because one may want to switch on while the other may not.

This place is a gem, it is a feast for the eyes, so much beauty. The view for the balcony is breathtaking. It is a heritage property that takes you back in time. All the staff are outstanding, we have stayed before and we were so happy to return. There have been lots of improvements made and it just keeps getting better. The continental breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely return and we would highly recommend. A real treat.

We had a simply beautiful time where we felt so welcome, cosy and genuinely cared for. Not only does this place have gorgeous architecture in a type of manor home that is all too rare for a Sydney getaway location, but more importantly we felt like guests in the truest sense of the word by the staff. Delicious dinner and terrific wine. Could not recommend more. This stay reminded us why hotels are better than Airbnbs!

One of the best hotels we have ever been! Sparkling clean rooms, amazing interior decor, so much attention to detail in everything, delicious breakfasts included in the room rate and absolutely extraordinary service from the best hosts ever, Paul & Steve, - I have never felt so welcomed! The whole experience was beyond our expectations. We had such a lovely weekend, we will definitely be returning in future.

The a la carte breakfast was amazing. My partner has to take photos of each meal as it came out and the fruit and grains were all fresh and crisp. The decor is straight out of design magazines and the hotel sets a new standard in cleanliness on all surfaces seen! Paul or amazing host was both very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the local area and places to see

The hosts were 100% committed to making your stay as nice as possible, heating our pre-race frozen meals and making us feel so at home. The dinner and breakfast were both amazing! My partner and I will absolutely be back next time we are in the Blue Mountains, nowhere else we would want to stay. Thank you so much!

Loved the friendly staff and the warm welcome. The bed was very comfortable; could sleep for aages. Loved the antique furtniture in the general public areas of the hotel. Had a lovely old fashioned at the bar. The room was a bit cold but there was a good panel heater and the electric blanket did a really good job!

The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot during our stay. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was also very nice. Highly recommend having dinner on a Saturday night. The hotel is located near Victoria falls, Sunset Rock Lookout and the Hanging Rock, very nice if you are hiking too.

The hospitality was outstanding! The owners taking the time to talk to you and make sure you were looked after. The room felt more like a bedroom than a hotel room, which was relaxing. Very quiet location, good parking, beautiful house and gardens and the breakfast was exceptional. Also loved Ted!

The manager, Lona went above and beyond by making sure we got a special meal mid-afternoon even when the kitchen was closed. Special thanks to the chef. She saved me at work by finding a spare mouse I could use. Super thankful. 5-star service all the way!
