Best place we have stayed in. Relaxing and an amazing property. Hosts were absolutely fantastic. Made us feel welcomed from the minute we stepped in. We stayed in the Windsor room and it was huge. Can’t say enough good things about this property and the owners. We can’t wait to return again.

I very rarely travel in this region of Victoria as I'm from interstate but I would think that other more frequent travellers going west on the A1 towards Melbourne or east out of Melbourne would find Moe a suitable little town for a stopover. I didn't see much of the town, except to buy fuel at a local service station. From what I could see, the town looked clean and well kept although it was after dark when I arrived, with a light rain falling so I was more interested in getting to the motel then looking around.

Rose was a friendly and understanding host.

Rose was a friendly and understanding host. The rooms were standard Motel style but clean and well appointed. Towels weren’t replaced during stay, but we just hung them over chairs outside. The only downside was a finicky TV and remote, plus some overly friendly wasps outside.

We stayed overnight in Moe while visiting Yarragon (only 15 min away) and Walhalla. The best thing about Moe is "Old Gippstown" the pioneer village. A great place for an insight into Australian history with many old buildings to visit. We ate a lovely meal at the Moe RSL and had a pleasant breakfast at the Spiders Cafe. Walhalla, app. 40 mins drive away is a lovely old gold mining town. There is lots to do here so we will return for an overnight stay there in the near future.
