Most part of the Pibara region is boring as fk. Only travel there for work up on the mines and gas plant. Family touring? No, don`t do it. Kimberley has some great views and parks for exporing, otherwise, go down South.
Oh, right, Never go any Asian resturants in Karratha, not authentic and total rip off. Western style Bar &Grill in Karratha are generally good.

Karratha is a hidden gem.
Karratha is a hidden gem. It is a clean, accessible city spread out to accommodate the easy transition of traffic coming in and out of it. Entering the city from the main highway gives you wonderful glimpses of the ocean through the palm-lined fringes of the city outskirts. We were fortunate to eat organic fresh fruits which was unexpected and such a nice surprise! If you've had the privilege of eating farm grown produce that still maintains taste and texture, you'll know what I mean. Karratha is not to be missed. A refreshing visit for us, we'll gladly return here.

We enjoyed Karratha and especially an unaccompanied tour of the rock art. This was along a board walk but was very well done. You do have to get the light right to see some of it. The afternoon is recommended but we were amazed at what we saw mid morning.
What we didn't enjoy was a breakfast at the Empire cafe. n I had the chose what you want dish and paid $5 dollars to have grilled tomato included. When my plate came, it had an eighth of a tomato on it. I complained and had a plate with another half tomato on it banged down on the table.

Accomodation choice was great beaches were beautiful town was very modern and clean we were very surprised at how built up and modern it was for a small northern town could certainly have spent more time here. Pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant is the highlight of the hotel. Breakfast has a big spread of different food and tastes really good for a regional hotel. We also had dinner there for 2 nights and both are exceeding my expectations. Room is clean (not counting the insects) and spacious. There are chair outside the room to sit if you don't mind to mingle with the insects. Their pool looks wonderful and inviting but we didn't have time to dip into it.
We stayed as a group of three fir 4 days.
Staff could not have been more welcoming, helpful or accommodating. Truly the staff are a real credit to this venue.
Room had all we needed, beds super comfy and so clean.
Grounds were beautiful and within in few minutes walk of all the city centre venues.
Definitely stay here again if I’m Karratha

The whole apartment and the area was peaceful and away from all the noise and traffic.
We'd definitely be coming back to stay here next time we are back in karratha.
Also our enquiries with messaging the staff with a quick response was very pleasing. Staff were helpful and very polite.
Great central location, close to Karratha shopping centre and only a 15min drive into Dampier. Great size apartment, clean and comfy beds. Pool right outside your door to watch the kids and extra handy having a washing machine & dryer in the bathroom :) Perfect for short or long stay.
Brekky was exactly as I expected, to have full food and board in the already reasonable accommodation cost made this a very attractive proposition for the next time I am in Karratha. The conveniently located Nor West Brewing company was just a great bonus.
Great staff!!
Lovely clean rooms with everything you could possibly need for a lovely little break in Karratha.
The pool was an absolute bonus and the little cafe restaurant next to the pool served delicious food .
Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
2 bedroom apartment spotlessly clean. Everything you need. Air con, big tv… lovely kitchen… great for 4 people. Not cheap at $350 per night but worth it for peace of mind and comfort after driving all day. Would definitely come back.
Clean, comfortable and spacious apartment. Reception staff frienand efficient. Close to some good bars and restaurants. Central Karratha with its apartment blocks is quite a change from most places in outback Australia.
Location was pretty easy to find in Karratha. Interesting check-in procedure. A code sent to your phone as the entry to the room was a modern time saving feature. Washing machine in room was handy.
The room had its own washing machine with dryer and the bed was quite comfortable. The accommodation is situated close to all town features and we enjoyed our stay in Karratha.
