    Fantastic facilities in our chalet!

Fantastic facilities in our chalet! Very clean and comfortable with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities including shower gel, soap and shampoo in refillable dispensers. Plenty of hot water too. There was a comfortable seating area and we could have stayed much longer had we not been on a road trip. The site was very quiet at night so great for those camping.

Kalbarri is a great place to relax, swim in the river or ocean and explore breathtaking coastal and inland rock formations and gorges. Fantastic walks and longer hikes for those so inclined. Awesome tourist facilities in the National Parks - the Skywalk is an amazing piece of engineering and a must do experience. Great fishing, surfing and snorkeling. Beautiful clean, safe swimming beaches. Brilliant Indian Ocean sunsets. Great variety of playgrounds and park areas for the kids. Plenty of choice for eating out and a bit of night life. Good accommodation options. The local supermarket provides most of what you need if eating at home. Get the Aussie inland gorge and coastal beach experience all rolled into one! *Note to those travelers not experienced with Australian outback conditions: Kalbarri can get pretty hot and the flies can be annoying at certain times of the year (so pack fly nets), but if you come prepared and do a little homework prior you will have a great experience. Overall one of our favorite places in WA.

Another beautiful part of our amazing state!

Another beautiful part of our amazing state! Nature's window was as lovely as when I visited 17 years ago. The Skywalk is a fabulous addition, especially for visitors with some disabilities. I work in the health sector and am constantly looking out for places with access. What little we experiences augers well. Please keep this up. Sunset at Meanara Hill was just stunning. Rainbow Valley and Mushroom Walk were relaxing and wonderful. Thank you for the wonderful memories, Kalbarri!

    Stunning location.

Stunning location. Kalbarri is located at the mouth of the Murchinson river with turquoise water and great facilities. Finlay’s brewery and restaurant was recommended by our host Jess and was excellent and atmospheric. Great selection of beers and excellent food. Lots to see and enjoy. The Kalbarri NP had an amazing skywalk looking out over a spectacular gorge. Sadly the river cruise was not operating.

Beautiful beaches with choice of ocean or river dips in the water. Wilder waves also available for surfers. The one grocery store carries fair but limited goods - you can't be too fussy but basics are available. If you have special requirements - bring it with you! Pubs and eateries are OK, Kalbarri is on the mend from the cyclone in 2021. The national park, pelican feeding, sunset cruise, boat hire and fishing trips will keep you busy for a few days and it's perfect for relaxation and that 'wait awhile' WA feeling! And the sunsets are next to none...

Kalbarri is most certainly worth a stay.

Kalbarri is most certainly worth a stay. The coastline is breathtakingly beautiful, with some lovely beaches, it offers great hiking opportunities, just make sure you choose the right time of the year for that. It can be very hot! Some nice restaurants to enjoy fresh caught fish.

Beautiful, well-maintained property, everything was as per the photographs. There are no neighbours right next door allowing for more privacy. Short drive from the centre of Kalbarri with beautiful views to the sea and National Park. Kangaroos hopped up the street one morning. Beds were good quality and very comfortable. House was well setup for a very enjoyable week of relaxing.

The facilities were good. The laundry room was very useful and there was a line where clothes could be dried in the sun. Cooking facilities also fine. I hadn’t realised there was a pool which was a bonus (but too cold)! The decor was nice. Kalbarri was a great place to stay. The inland National Park and the part on the coast were spectacular.

From our warm greeting to our departure Sha demonstrated and eagerness to help us and promote the various activities around Kalbarri even though she is only new to Kalbarri herself. Her home-made bread and muffins were a great personal touch. Sha's attention to detail and addition of the "the little things" make Gecko Lodge a memorable place.

Location was very good although it wasn't obvious where to go initially because of the units under construction in front of ours with a different name. Living area was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Outdoor facilities provided were great but due to the number of flies in Kalbarri currently we didn't use them.

The room is clean and tidy, there is a balcony. The common area is equipped with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. Near the hotel there is an area where kangaroos and parrots come. Not far from the hotel there is an area with restaurants and a promenade.
