Located in Flying Fish Cove in the Christmas Island region, Hibiscus House features a patio and garden views.

Hibiscus House is a great relaxing property that was perfect for our needs. Great location. Comfortable and clean. It allowed us to explore the island with ease. Everything that we needed was provided with a great outdoor bbq area and able indoor space to relax in. The hosts Robyn and Hugh were fantastic and provided us with plenty of information about the island. Thank you! Highly recommend for anyone travelling to CI.

A week is a good time to stay on Christmas Island.

A week is a good time to stay on Christmas Island. You absolutely need a hire car, and be prepared for driving on bush tracks, and lots of walking. There are (currently) limited places to eat, but they are all good. My top three attractions were The Blowholes, the Dales, and the Territory Day park look out.

Christmas Island has limited places to eat and you need to...

Christmas Island has limited places to eat and you need to plan ahead as some places are not always open. The restaurant that is run by the Chinese Literary Association has great Chinese food, so do find out what nights it is open during your visit and make sure you pop in there. The Golden Bosun is the pubs name and considering the isolated location the meals are very reasonable and consistent with what you will pay for meals in Regional WA. They do a very nice steak. I was there for work but did find the time to visit some of the local spots, stop into the Tourist Information centre and pick up a map for $3 it is worth the investment. Warning for the caffeine addict, the local coffee shop closes at 1pm. This is located in Poon Saan. Don't believe Google - some places are no longer in operation so speak with your accommodation to find out what is open and when. The flight out time can change quite frequently so do check or you will be hanging around the airport for more hours than you might like to.
