Always the best place to stay in Dandenong. Ive stayed here 5 times on business. Great staff and service everytime. Recommended either the pint of stonewood or furphy at the bar. Dinner your choice of a variety of salads , entrees, steak etc.

The host was accomodating when we said we needed more towels as there was only two towels. There was enough basic essentials where we did not have to buy.

I have been to Dandenong a couple of times and found it to be a nice place to visit but wouldn't stay as it does have it's reputation for a lot of violence.
The hotel I stayed at was in a great spot , access to public transport , the shopping centre is located directly across the road.

A multicultural south eastern suburban township located about 35-40km from the CBD of Melbourne. Either you need a car or be able to afford Uber, otherwise getting around can be a challenge. Daylight vibrancy changes completely to quiet and silent isolation at night. Unless, you are connected night activities are very dismal.

While the hotel itself was fine, and out of the dodgy zone, if you go in to the Dandenong shops there are a lot of people asking for money (which we thought was illegal in Victoria...) and a lot of people seem to be zonked on substances. Sometimes large groups in the park to the south trying to get your attention - a bit intimidating if you're travelling on foot. Some positives - A good Middle-Eastern bread shop in Dandenong with very helpful people. Lots of shops and options, things that are hard to find elsewhere.

The air conditioner, heating and bed was ok.
The air conditioner, heating and bed was ok.
No spare blankets, only 4 sachets of coffee and sugar supplied for 2 nights stay. No phone to front desk. Breakfast was in a plastic box with cereal, milk a little juice , mini muffin and a little piece of yoghurt slice which had to be eaten in their room as no dining space supplied. The room had 1 square plastic stool to sit on which was grubby.otherwise the bed was all they could sit on. No toaster either. There was scuff marks on walls and floor and dusty oil marks on the roof also. The hooks for hanging towels/clothes were also broken
The motel had them sign a security form where there car rego was recorded for security but why do this when my wife returned that night to find a man sleeping in his car and using his phone. In the morning she lifted the blind and there he was in the car still. She was not sure if he was dead or alive as still in same seat of car she took his rego in case he was dead. The day manager then knocked on their door as they had not checked out . The day manager after being told what they saw escorted them to their car as concerned for their safety. At this point the man put his hood on his head to obscure his face.
The site advertised a continental breakfast but the breakfast in a box cost them $9 each .
My wife rang me the first night and said pls do not book this accommodation at this IBIS again.

With plenty of shops, markets and a wide variety of restaurants. Dandenong was very central to attractions and an easy drive from the airport.
Would definitely stay again

Plenty of great restaurants in the area.
Plenty of great restaurants in the area. Everyone we met was friendly and professional and helpful.
If you like boardgames and trading card games, stop in at Next Level Games in Thomas Street and have a chat.
Jimmyz Kebabs were yummy and Oro Bianco Woodfired Pizza at 175 Lonsdale Street was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and definitely loved the cheesy garlic bread and were too full for dessert!
Plenty of Uber drivers available so getting around was pretty easy.
From the moment i parked the car, to the friendly staff on the intercom, opening the door to enter the Hotel, was just a lovely stay. Reception was A class, friendly, with a welcoming smile, no waiting, straight on to assisting with checking in.
I went up to my room, it was pristine clean. The bed had the right pillows, as in you actually had a choice, hard, soft medium...WOW....plenty of towels, and face washers in the bathroom. This hotel has a gym too, not that I used it...but if that's your thing...then you would be happy.
Functional space clean. Did the job if you are just looking for somewhere to get a night's sleep. Small shower cubicle. Fresh sheets and comfy bed if a little soft. Micro waves in the hall if you had to heat milk or food. Laundry on site to. Near a Woolworths. Big car park
Atura hotels are our go too accommodation after staying at Dandenong Atura quite a few times as the cleanliness/service/room service are excellent 👌 Good to note that there's many fast food options & supermarket within easy walking distance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful accommodating every need. The apartment hotel thing is great for my family because we don't like to eat out all the time. The layout and appliances were very supportive to that.
The service from the staff is equal to, or exceeds, that at a 5 star hotel. I really like that they provide a list of the best coffee, pizza, restaurants, etc in the local area.
