This was the cutest Bed and breakfast, the bed was so comfortable and the sheets were softer than the 5 star resort we stayed at the next night of our trip
I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was considering how close to the pub we were

Judy and Lawrence have created an experience that is made with love and is the ideal location for a getaway to unplug. They will go out of their way to make your stay perfection and are the kindest hosts we’ve ever experienced whilst staying at a hotel/air bnb. The location is picturesque. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully designed by Judy. Lawrence went and got us marshmallows to have by the fire and turned on the pizza oven for us. They’re so kind and make the stay memorable. We will continue to visit on a regular basis and can’t recommend VH enough. Grab your partner and book this today. Honestly you will love the experience.

We went to a wedding at O'Reillys Winery, so the hotel was a perfect spot to stay. The town was great. We had breakfast at the Outpost on Sunday. The service was excellent and the food was great. The locals in the Hotel on both nights were very friendly and we had a good laugh with them. Everyone we met was very friendly.

The room we booked for my Mother and I was just perfect as it was spacious and very nicely presented. Good TV and effective Air-conditioner. The modern Bathroom had a large shower and no problem with quick hot water.
The bed was most comfortable and fresh.
We dined in the Restaurant just down the stairs. Food and Service was Superb.
Great place to stay for the night.

Great little town.
Great little town. We had breakfast the following morning at "The Outpost" cafe which was very enjoyable. Quite a few cafes in town, people were friendly. Cute wee Church (St Lukes, I think) Not too far up to Mt Tamborine and the drive up to Canungra was very pleasant.

Interesting place to visit with lots of outdoor recreational things to do i.e cycling, fishing, swimming in lovely fresh water creeks. Village has some great shops and several cafes serving up good food. it's quite amazing to find so much unspoiled natural beauty so close to the Gold Coast . An ideal spot for anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing time.

Canungra had grown a little since our last visitsome years ago.
All the facilities you would expect of a small country town, and very welcoming people. We had a delicious lunch (recommended by our host) at the Ninja Ginja japanese restaurant in the main street.
Parking was pretty hectic (expected, over Christmas).

On our arrival and after initial room allocation, we requested a Valley View room. This was no trouble to arrange with reception who promptly changed our room.
Very courteous at all times and pleasant to deal with.
All staff with whom we made contact were only too happy to help and obviously enjoyed their job.
Tony and Kelly are amazing hosts, they made sure that nothing was left to chance.
The property is beautiful with leafy private gardens that make for a peaceful and private stay.
The continental breakfast included was ample, however a cooked breakfast was also available at just $10 extra and Tony went above and beyond to make us barista style coffees each morning.
We would highly recommend "The Odd Gecko" to anyone looking for a quiet, convenient location close to the quaint village of Canungra.
Loved the location, a beautiful area for drives and hiking. A short drive to Canungra.
Bed was comfortable, tent was clean and tidy. Great to have a spa for your own tent.
The shared BBQ was big and clean, started every time.
The kitchen is small but we'll stocked, but probably only a couple of nights. We had a portable fridge otherwise we wouldn't have coped.
We loved the location, privacy, quietness, country feel with the sheep, horses and cows wandering past.
The cabin was beautifully presented and decor very tasteful.
The closeness to Canungra made it very acceptable to collect groceries or a dinner out.
The owners were easy to contact if needed and really friendly.
Peaceful location with beautiful views of the mountains, and away from the busy Canungra town centre and Mount Tambourine. Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Loved the electric cooker and breakfast basket. We appreciated the friendly hosts as well as their clever dog who led us on a guided tour.
Simply a fantastic self contained stay for families and couples alike that are looking for a semi-rural break while being close to a town. Brilliantly thought out and well equipped accommodation units and communal facilities. A great overview of macadamia farming provided. Fantastic hosts.
Friendly Polite helpful staff. Freshly renovated rooms, beautiful size, Shower wow loved the massive shower head above. Fresh tiled bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great night sleep. Food at hotel thoroughly enjoyed. Great vibe in this little township. I will be back for a visit.
Canungra Cottages is the perfect mountain getaway. It is an immaculately restored cottage in the centre of beautiful Canungra. The decor, attention to detail and gardens are just stunning. Thank for a well deserved break, we can't wait to return.
The property was perfect for 2 people. The facilities were great and clean with everything provided. The location is about 5-10 min drive into Canungra and is adjacent to the O'Reilly's Winery. Hosts were helpful and communication was good.
A lovely and extremely comfortable room positioned in a quiet peaceful cul de sac and only a few minutes walk to the heart of Canungra.
Suzanne the hostess was lovely and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Birds in the bush and the quite. We were close to the Pub for dinner and they produced a good menue at reasonable prices. Staff very helpful when we went to enquire about the missing owner of the B & B.
The location was rustic with character, breakfast was fine. This type of accommodation suits us to a tee, peaceful but within close proximity to the township and our traveling around the area
The location is incredible. The bird walks and the hiking is wonderful. The hotel is awful - ancient carpets, the most peculiar room numbering system and the food is DIABOLICAL AND EXPENSIVE
