The location is excellent for both driving and public transport, but parking incurs an additional cost. All staff members are very friendly. While the breakfast is simple, it is very good. The room is comfortable enough for the three of us, with a small balcony to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel is very clean throughout. They provide luggage lift. Overall, it's 100% worth the value.

The landlady was most helpful and accommodating! We appreciated the possibility to leave our luggage in the property for a few hours after the check-out. Well equipped kitchen was a huge convenience. Nice view from the window :) Spacious bathroom. Everything new and clean.

We stayed in Obertraun as a base to explore Halstatt but...
We stayed in Obertraun as a base to explore Halstatt but found as our trip got closer that there was a lot more to do in Obertraun and Halstatt than originally thought so our one night stay turned out to not be long enough. If I were booking again I would definitely stay two or three nights so we could explore the salt mines, walks and view points.

We stayed in Obertraum so we could take the ferry to go to Hallstatt by ferry. The ferry ride was amazing, heavenly peace and tranquil. However, we did not know enough about the area. We found out from the ferry driver that there was an ice cave nearby and a skywalk. We could include that in our future trip.SilviaUnited States - 10Scored 10

Obertraun is probably the best place for easy access to Hallstatt (besides being in Hallstatt itself). Bike rentals are easy and the bike ride to Hallstatt is also easy with very little elevation change. Lots of biking in the area.

Perfect location, fantastic view to Hallstatt and the mountains. Easy to reach Hallstatt even with bicycle, Dachstein and mountains are also very close. Small village, quieter than the nearby Hallstatt. Can walk around everywhere on foot. Good for few days with public transport, longer than that you may want a car since there is only one restaurant ("Pizzeria") and buses come only once per hour.JessicaIsrael

House is only 40min walking from Hallstatt town centre, you can see part of lake while you are walking which is amazing(the reason i booked). If you wanna take 543 bus that’s the another option to go Hallstatt only a few minutes. Between Obertraun station and Hallstatt banhoff only 3 minutes by train and not more than €2. And also location is very close to Cable car. I would definetely recommend the Haus Alpenblick Zafer Best regardsZaferUnited Kingdom

Apartment was very clean and it is only suitable for 2 people stay. Pizerria near banhof Train station is really good , for the location it was reasonably priced. This is the only eatery/restaurant that is open on Sunday in Obertraun. The host allowed us to do early checkin and explained everything to use in the apartment. Kitchen is good and lot of stuff that can be used.

Their home and rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The house is in a quiet location outside of town. This was our best stay in our six-week European vacation. The bikes that are available for guests help to make Obertraun more accessible and provide a nice way to explore the area.
