Great place to stay when you want to go walking/ hiking. We went in the summer, and were amazed by the scenery and well thought out and maintained hiking paths. If you plan to drive here using your own car, it is good to know that nearly every parking is payed, it isn't much, usually 4 or 5 euros a day, but if you plan to drive about a bit this can quickly add up.

Cozy village. Great gondel rides to the mountain tops. Stores for shopping available in next village, Mittelberg itself is not good for that. Only a few 100m away though, so no problem. Free buses (with the touristcard) go all the time.
