This is the most beautiful and amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed this time with my trip to Europe (Prague, Munich and Austria). “Suite with Balcony” room which has an amazing view you can see from your bed (yes! From the moment you wake up!). Breakfast is soooo good (heaps of choices and they all taste good) and dinner provided is nice as well. You’ll never feel starving because the food provided are good in quality and quantity. The reading spaces are fab! Originally was thinking about going to visit Hallstatt but then everything at the hotel is more attractive to me. This is a place I’ll recommend for all of my friend.

Small town, 10 min from Hallstatt and lake, and 15 min from Dachstein Krippenstein (Mamoth and Ice caves, Glacier and mass of tracks...) Much easer and chipper to stay at Bad Goisern. You have in mind that everything is closed after 7 PM, so do shopping and have dinner before... or eat pizza...

Wonderful quiet place, with easy access to many of the touristic attractions of this beautiful region of Austria. A really nice and more economic alternative to Hallstatt, which is beautiful but in very big demand during the holiday seasons.

She also had plenty of brochures and information/maps to help explore on your own. Maria Theresia is centrally located in Bad Goisern with a lot of little restaurants nearby. You are also very close to other parts of the Salzkammergut region which made this the perfect home base. In September, the hotel's own restaurant is closed, but a 5-minute drive in the neighboring town there are delicious restaurants that the staff suggested to us.
