The people were very nice, hardworking, and warm-hearted. They put a lot of effort into making their guest feel comfortable and taken care of! Such a nice family, 100% recommend. To the manager's mother, you are a "sweetheart."

Location was great, very close to beach with loungers and umbrellas available for free for hotel guests (although these are quickly occupied so you need to head down early). Dinner is included in the price and was tasty (pasta dishes were always very well cooked and dessert was great) although it may be difficult to continue eating there everyday for longer trips as it was a set menu with 7 options. It is walkable to several other bars and restaurants. My favourite was Veranda bar, which is 5 mins walk, for a bit of music and a more similar vibe to an Ibiza style beach bar with swimming pool etc. Great view of the sea from the beach and an iconic Poda rope swing that everyone takes pictures on.
Located some 150 metres from the Paradise Beach, Hotel Luxury is located in Ksamil, just 5 km from the entrance to UNESCO-listed Butrint National Park.

Breakfast was available until 10am and you can order what you like from the menu (a choice of omlette, pancakes, fried eggs, toast, butter, jam). The room was spacious and the doors/windows had mosquito nets which were necessary. In contrast, the dining area/restaurant is spacious and modern. The staff were friendly and laid back but their English was quite limited.

Really beautiful place, very cheap food and beer, roughly €2 a large bottle. Weather was fantastic and beaches unreal. Great restaurants very close by. We tried Family Restaurants twice and could not fault it. Super cheap meals

Some of the beaches are very nice.
Some of the beaches are very nice. The weather is very good and the food is very nice and very cheap. There are a few nice bars and clubs to go out in the evening but its not too loud. The village is still quite basic, lots of potholes and no road markings and many buildings are not permanant structures. Given the growth in the local economy I have no doubt this part of Albania will catch up very rapidly with other parts of Europe.

If you are looking for the quite sand beach, this is not your place. Try to stay in Sarande and take the bus to Ksamil just for the day. Ksamil is over crowded, every beach is a private one, and the music from the bars and hotels is too loud. Is not the quite paradise you are looking for.

About 15 to 20 years away from being what Greece and Croatia...
About 15 to 20 years away from being what Greece and Croatia are now. The town is not set up to welcome the influx of tourists it sees. There is no real pedestrian area. It looks rough and unmaintained. It is generally very dirty (trash everywhere).
It was marketed on Instagram as 'the Maldives of Europe'. It is more the 'Tenerife of the Balkans'.
The water is indeed gorgeous, but every inch of beach is packed and rented out, sometime at extortionate prices.
A couple of standouts:
- August Beach (mostly locals, plenty of space, no overly loud music)
- The Blue Water Hotel restaurant (and the staff is excellent)
- Mëndra Traditional restaurant
- The Mussel House restaurant
Recommend renting a car and making Albania a road trip. Visit Ksamil only for a couple of days, max.

We visited the beachbar and restaurant near the Orange beach...
We visited the beachbar and restaurant near the Orange beach club and pods sunrise, the beach area I think was Plazhi Ksamilit - I have never seen water that blue!
The food was really nice and we could rent a sun lounger near by for about 30 euro for 2, and we stayed there for the day.
They have really good food options, pancakes for breakfast, omelettes, pizza, salads etc for lunch so lots of variety.
The place we rented for the day had bar service which was also great. If you're looking for a mix between a chill day and a really good nightlife then this is the place for you.
There was a foam party happening next door to us which looked like a good time if that is your cup of tea!
There seemed to be something for everyone and I would definitely visit again in the future.
We met people there who were just doing a day trip from Corfu which is very doable also and is enough time to get a good feel of the place.
Everything!
1. The family running hotel is renovated and in perfect location - central, but quiet; close to the beautiful beach, restaurants and markets
2. The room is very clean, comfy beds, quiet conditioner, good shower, cleaning every day, refrigerator
3. The breakfast is one of the best in Albania. Many varieties, homemade, local products, very tasty. We have been spoiled by Stella - the owner who prepared our breakfast every day.
4. The owners Petro and Stella are very caring and helpful.
My first time in Ksamil I chose to stay here these past few days. The hotel is exceptionally modern, with marble, metal and glass finishes. Beds were soft and sheets were Ritz quality.
The beauty though it’s from its owners. They work and manage the site everyday and are there for your every need, from where to eat to where to drink and towels and blankets in between.
You are also a 2 minute walk from the best side of the the beach !! Don’t hesitate to stay
If you want to visit Albania and wanna feel that you are in Greece it’s the best place to stay. Fantastic sea view, the rooms with all facilities and a big territory where you can choose any place to relax. It’s a merit of John, Eva and Costa. John’s hotel is a great location of a lot of beaches. Beginning of day and a sunset at he evening can always make everyone happy. Such a fantastic place to stay for relaxes. In this place we wanna come back again
Thanks for the warm welcoming. I definitely recommend the hotel. 10 min to the closest beach by walking. Room was so clean and comfortable. Having a balcony was good for drying to clothes. I expect nothing more. The owner of the hotel really helpful and friendly. She recommended good beaches and restaurants and helped us about transportation to the nearest city Saranda. If I travel to Ksamil again, I choose the same hotel again.
Close to the paradise beach but 10-15 mins walk to the 3 island beach. Good view from the room and the swing in the balcony was good touch. The view from the terrace was amazing. The couple who manage the place was very friendly. Great spread for breakfast. The espresso was amazing and so was the mountain tea. We were unfortunate to have bad weather (rain and overcast) during our stay. Couldn’t enjoy the real Ksamil.
The entire staff was extremely helpfull and very sweet. We got two nights for a very good price, so we didnt expect much, but the placement of the hotel was perfect in terms of beaches and "down town". You have to walk up a little "hill" but you have to do that most places in Albania. The rooms was fine, and had the basics of what we needed. But the staff really did it for us (family owned). Faleminderit shumë :)
We stayed at hotel olive for 3 nights, first time in Albania and really enjoyed it. The hotel is a good location, about 5/10 mins walk to loads of restaurants and one of the many beaches is a 2 min walk. The on site restaurant is very nice, mainly fish dishes. All the staff are lovely and will go out of their way to help you. Clean hotel and quiet rooms with comfy beds. Will definitely be back, thank you.
It was an amazing vacation in Albania. The hotel is located in the center of Ksamil, it’s really close to the beach, bus station and cafes. The room is modern, comfortable and clean, everything was nice. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and welcoming. Maybe we would have liked more options for breakfast, but for quick breakfast it was enough and everything was fresh and tasty.
Mike, the owner and manager, was the best host ever. Very polite, kind, always smiling and ready to assist with anything we needed. The breakfast was prepared by Mike's mom and it was great, with some Albanian traditional food. The whole family running the business is very kind. The location was also great, 10-15 minutes walk from the Beach and close to restaurants and supermarkets.
Brand new Hotel with elevator, I like upper floor rooms usually and it was my choice also this time with great view into the lake and the swimming pool. The room was big and comfy and the staff was always there to help or advise the best locations in Ksamil. We really liked this hotel and will come back again if we visit Ksamil.
What a stunning hotel. Very clean and new. Very stylish. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and enjoyed with a lovely view. The best part for us was the wonderful pool - easily the nicest we’ve seen in Albania. There’s space to park your car under the hotel and it’s about a 6 min walk from the beaches.
Super friendly and helpful host,
Great spacious villa, with everything we needed. Clean and super breakfast, especially the home made jam made by Arti's mother
It felt like experiencing a real part of Albania as Ksamil is quickly becoming full of hotels and sun loungers.
it is a awesome place with very big and clean rooms! the host is super nice and will give you very good tips for the area.
the location is perfect, you can walk super easily to all beaches of ksamil. one of the best stays in albania so far. highly recommend!!
Absolutely everything.
The hotel was at the heart of Ksamil, there are markets and bakeries near the hotel and the beach was extremely close! You have absolutely everything you need.
The cleanliness was 100/100! The kind ladies clean the rooms everyday!
Great experience for our first time in Albania! The host is very friendly and welcoming, the hotel is new and very clean and comfortable! Easy access to the beach! We will comeback for sure!
Quite place ,
Nice view, good privacy, good hospitality, really it was the best hotel we went until now in albania thank you for everybody there as they do their best to make us happy.
Clean and nice room with balcony and proper shower (not always the case in Albania). Best breakfast we’ve had during our 9 day trip. 5 minutes from beach.
Great hotel. We stayed 2 nights and enjed it. The location is amazing to get to the best beaches in Ksamil. They staff are also very friendly and helpful.
