Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. It's really hard to express how superb this stay was. And it was only 1 day. I imagine this is thanks to type of the place, not being typical hotel, but rather traditional ryokan with it's quality. From the beginning, the staff was excellent. Helpful, informative, easy to talk to. The room, comparing to our other hotels, was huge. Sleeping on futon was our best sleeping experience during whole stay in Japan. We have booked private bath, and again - everything well prepared, all important things available in the room. We were provided also with yukatas to be used in ryokan, but in addition we could also use more colorful that could be used outside. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from main station and on the way to old town of Takayama. The last but not least - breakfast was the best we had in Japan. We have chosen Japanese one and we could try many elements.

Every thing was very good, the staff moved the world to help us, evey thing was so well explained, very clean place, they offered food that you can take any time and eat how much do you want, we mett peaple there, so safe... 10/10

Guesthouse SHIGI se află în Nakatsugawa, la 46 km de Gero Station, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, un lounge comun și parcare privată gratuită. The guesthouse gives a homely feeling, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner even if we arrived a bit late. It was the perfect stay as a base for the nakasendo trail. The house is completely renovated but you can feel how it was 110 years back when it was built. It has all the amenities you might need, and the spaces are huge! Great relaxing garden in the back :)

Toraya se află în Gero, la 8 minute de mers pe jos de Gero Station, și oferă vedere la munte. This was a great find! The location, facilities, staff and breakfast was excellent. The Onsen was outdoor and had a beautiful garden setting. The check-in was very personable and informative about what to see and where to eat. We will return.

Such a special, lovely house. Beautiful food, so fresh - picked from the garden. Best meal we had in Japan. Lovely warm hosts. An absolute highlight of our trip.

Comfortable and quiet. The host was so polite and helpful. He recommended us some good restaurants and brote us to the bus station in the morning because the bus was not running due to Japan’ golden week! Great host!

Guesthouse Nedoko se bucură de o locație excelentă în cartierul Magome din Nakatsugawa, la 21 km de Ōi, la 21 km de Parcul de agrement Enakyo Wonderland și la 42 km de Japan Taisho Village. Cleanliness and location were amazing! Staff were super friendly and spoke very good English.

Built in 2018, Itomori is located a 7-minute walk form JR Takayama Station. The old town of Takayama is 6 minutes on foot, while Takayama Jinya is a 10-minute stroll. Excellent location, close to everything but still quiet. Beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well.
