My partner and I had a short but very sweet stay with Rod and Kim. Guests have a whole cottage to themselves which caters for everything you might need, including breakfast items, heating and plenty of cosy blankets. There were many booklets and local pamphlets on what Port Arthur has to offer, and Rod kindly recommended a pub for dinner which was superb. Aside from the stunning and peaceful scenery, my absolute highlight was Rod’s tour of the farm in which we brushed adorable highland cattle and were given some super interesting facts and anecdotes by Rod of Port Arthur. I truly hope we are able to visit Tasmania again and we’d love to stay at Ruby’s Farm Stay if we do!

The breakfast was unbelievable. You had to prepare it yourself but it was fresh eggs and bread, bacon, fresh squeezed orange juice, granola, toast, and everything else you could want. The unit was totally equipped and very spacious. Vivien could not have been a more accommodating host.
