The Boathouse is a brilliant hotel with well-equipped, comfortable and spacious rooms. If you're needing a room in this area, I would highly recommend it.
Stayed here before as it is right in the Marina, so if you like looking out at boats, it's great. Plus you can walk to the Hythe Ferry crossing and get to Southampton very easily.
The view of the boats
This is not a hotel for elderly or disabled. Too many steps. Not good for scooter, stones. Breakfast excellent but dinner not so good . Selection for dinner strange and it took a long time to come. No roll given. Expensive. Boat on river good. Lounge comfy
We arrived by boat with our friends and had a lovely stay. The staff, hotel ,food and facilities were excellent
Breakfast was excellent as were all the meals we had at the boathouse restaurant. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful .A wonderfully relaxing place to stay! Perfect
quiet yacht basin , great breakfast , nice area , brilliant helpful staff .will go back stay again and explore the area
We booked a last minute day/night here when we found ourselves drenched and uncomfortable.on a boating holiday. Afternoon coffee in a wood panelled lounge, cocktails in a library, and the dinner in The Terrace was out of this world. Fabulous framed historical documents on the walls, too. We will definitely be back.
We had a one night stay in a room over looking the Southampton estuary,so we could watch the cruise liners and boats coming into the harbour. The room had just been redecorated so was clean and bright. The radiators were on full heat, so a little warm for us, but better that way than being cold. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price included breakfast, which was continental, a full breakfast was available for a small fee. Overall we enjoyed our one night, and would use this hotel again when staying in that part of the south coast.
The hotel staff were really nice and helpful, and the location was great in a lovely setting of the marina. We had a balcony room overlooking the boats. We ate in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast - the food was good. An ideal stop, before going on a cruise from Southampton.
