Just 50 metres from the Västerdalälven River, this countryside B&B is 4 km south of Sälen. All rooms have a private bathroom, while some rooms also feature a kitchenette and river views. Very good location for main ski resorts in Sälen good amenities with kitchen in the room and parking availability. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Located in Vörderås, Sälengården features a garden. The guest house also provides free WiFi and free private parking. At the guest house each room includes a shared bathroom. 50 km before Sälen our car had a flat tyre due to the sharp stones on the gravel road from the Nationalpark Fulufjället. Hans, the very friendly and helpful host, called us, when we'll arrive. As it was not possible to get a roadside service, he sent his grandson to collect us from the road, supported us in getting the car repaired again and cooked us a meal in the evening. Many thanks to Hans and his grandson!

This B&B is by Lake Noren in Nornäs, 22 km from the ski slopes of Näsfjället. Facilities include a sauna and BBQ. Dog sledding, snowmobile rentals and nature safaris can be arranged. Really comfortable and beautifully done out. Would love to come again!

Scenically set in the village of Sörsjön, this B&B is 35 km north of Sälen at the base of Fulufjället Mountain. It offers communal kitchen facilities and spa treatments on site. Spacious rooms with great view and a cozy shared living-room with television, snacks and beverages. Excellent shared kitchenette, but really a complete kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer and utensils. Could make my own breakfast there although the offered breakfast is excellent too.

Located 18 km north of Sälen, this property is 3 km from fishing opportunities in the Västerdal River. It offers free Wi-Fi, a guest kitchen and a furnished garden with BBQ facilities. I loved the warm homely welcome, the freshed baked bread, and "grandmas waffles". My highlight was the meaningful conversations with other travellers and a traditional wood fire sauna under a wintry full moon - magic!

Situated in Transtrand in the Dalarna region, Vasacenter B&B features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Almost felt like coming home as the staff were so nice! Very friendly and attentive to what I wanted. The common living room was really nice and I got to use the restaurant kitchen to make dinner. The area is so tranquil and quiet.

This family-owned B&B, 300 metres from the Västerdal River, is 5 km from Kläppen Ski Resort. Guests can enjoy access to a gazebo, laundry room, along with ski storage and BBQ equipment. We came to Salen for skiing in Klappen. The location was great for this. It is 5-10 min. away. And there were trails closeby for country skiing. There is also a place nearby for renting the skiing equipment which is way cheaper rather than renting them from the ski resort. The place is very cozy, the rooms are warm. Also Göran was a very welcoming and hospitable host. It was great talking to you and learning about the area. It was a pleasent stay. :)
