The location is amazing, mountain views from all rooms, quiet no way out street. Linda, our host, was also amazing, great local knowledge and amazing breakfast (home-made cake daily :)). Very spacious room, very clean and a balcony.

We liked this place very much. It is absolutely quiet. No barking dogs, and no road traffic! (This is VERY rare on Madeira, especially in Funchal!!). Nice view of the mountains and the ocean. There is a large kitchen, which is very well equipped. Our host is extremely helpful and friendly. Even though we did not speak Portuguese, we managed to communicate with google translate easily. We warmly recommend this place to people who like QUIET places and like to sleep at night and discover the beautiful northern part of Madeira. Bolo do Caco Grill is close by (by car) and highly recommended to eat there and enjoy the stunning view!

The rustic look and very responsive staff, loved them!!! They were so helpful and very mindful! Oh and the living room with the look on the mountains.. just breath taking! The property is huge 10/10 easy!

It's difficult to start because everything here is so lovely! I'll keep this brief. Paul and Nelson are the perfect hosts: kind, helpful, and they cook incredible breakfasts. Their hospitality alone makes it worth visiting. The place itself is clean, comfortable (especially the beds!), and well-located, regardless of your preferences. Want to relax on-site? The surroundings are so calm and beautiful, there's no need to venture further. Interested in exploring Madeira's top spots? The location is convenient for driving anywhere you desire. And a fantastic, less-touristy hike, Caminho de Entrosa, is literally around the corner. The pets deserve a special mention, too. While the dogs are lovely, the cat stole our hearts. No need to seek company - the cat will happily join you and chat (in its own way). I hope to return to Madeira soon, and whenever I do, Paul and Nelson's place will be the first place I check for availability.
