It’s tremendously exciting for world travelers to find somewhere very special like Rodrigues Island, 600 km east of Mauritius. Even more intriguing is what the accommodation will be like so far from the populated world. The pick-up from the little airport was faultless despite a common Air Mauritius delay and we were greeted at the Blue Room by John who showed us around and settled us in. The accommodation is simple and entirely unpretentious where everything works, including (now wait for it) wifi that yields, another ‘wait for it’, 320 Mbps! Plenty of water for the shower, hot and cold, with uninterrupted power supply. John can make available a car, a robust 4x4, at rates that, as I told him, are far below market rates. The Blue Room overlooks the somewhat distant Indian ocean that is a short drive away in Anse aux Anglais, down the hill. Restaurant-wise, there’s not a hell of a lot going on in Rodrigues but the local village down the hill offers some animation in the way of two okay eateries and a little grocery store. It’s pretty too. So, it’s a great place to stay (without AC but good fans) and highly recommended indeed. Bravo John!

Apresentando vista do mar, Eagles Nest Residence apresenta acomodações com um salão partilhado e terraço, a cerca de 1,7 km de Praia Grand Baie. Mr & Mrs Jameson were very warm and welcoming. The cottage is situated on the high where the view is spectacular over the ocean. The cleanliness was second to none. Owner was helpful and felt home. It was my first time at the Rodrigues and can strong recommend the Eagles Nest Cottage. It’s spacious and can easier accommodate a family of 5. The cottage has a kitchen facility where you can prepare a good feast if you don’t feel like going out.

L'Heritage - Vue sur mer encontra-se a menos de 1 km de Praia Grand Baie e dispõe de um jardim, um terraço e acomodações com ar condicionado, varanda e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. Fabulous location and peaceful place to be. Close to Port Mathurin. Mr Fabien and his wife were so welcoming. The villa had all the amenites required.

Le Paradiso Apartments encontra-se a 1,8 km de Praia Grand Baie e dispõe de um jardim, comodidades para churrascos e acomodações com ar condicionado, varanda e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. The location was great and the apartment was very spacious. We really enjoyed the kindness and attention to detail by Liz and Tim. They made our stay memorable and we will definitely be back . So Thank you Iiz and Tim !!

Apresentando vista do jardim, Le Havre Gourmand apresenta acomodações com varanda e máquina de café, a cerca de 14 km de Francois Leguat Reserve. Our stay was most peaceful and enjoyable - Valerie and Andre warmly welcomed us with fresh fruit juice from their garden upon arrival. We had a very comfortable stay, in a lush location on the high grounds, surrounded by trees and an ocean view. With so many fruit trees, we could easily watch the local and adorable Rodrigues flying foxes from the balcony every evening at dusk. The kitchen was well stocked (oil, sugar, salt, among other basics), with all the utensils you might need to cook your meals as we did for the most part. Not far from Mont Lubin (~10 min walk) and Port Mathurin (by bus, bus stop is right in front) for groceries. They also offered laundry services for a fee. We were lucky to enjoy Valerie's bread and jams and even took some with us onward to our next destination on the island. Highly recommend!

Great place with very nice view of the sea and nature, in a quiet location. The house is well equipped with everything needed for short/long stays, and it's very clean and modern. Jeanette and Phil were very welcoming, and we felt at home since we arrived. Port Sud can be reached by foot, as there's a direct trail towards it (not showing on Google Maps)

The location was perfect as everything was accessible nearby to town, The hosts were very nice and welcoming and always at your attention or if u need anything or any specific requests.“ Mr Henri and his wife are some very good and welcoming hosts with an. absolute kindness. That have been helpful to us on everything we needed ! The place is very comfortable , peaceful and neatly clean ! Everything is very close and accessible from the place . And on our last Mr Henri had the huge kindness of offering us a nice Apero package for free as fair well on our last night . We will be back there again for sure and it is highly recommended to have a stay at their villas if u want to enjoy your holidays in Rodrigues at the perfect place and peaceful state!

COCO MANGO Villa localiza-se a 18 km de Francois Leguat Reserve e dispõe de acomodações com ar condicionado e varanda. Facilities and location. Isolated enough but easily accessible by road. Rodrigues is not big enough to worry too much about transport system.

A very quiet place to relax As my husband n I wanted a relaxing vacation we did get it there. We are very grateful to the owner's relatives who gave us a warm welcome .
