There is a kindergarten on the ground floor of the building and it was great to see in person some everyday life in Reykjavik. :)

The room is very much like the photos (a definite +). Beautiful comfy bed, beautiful bathroom with a great shower! Was so convenient to have a hob, oven, fridge, dishes, and lovely coffee! The location is perfect. Close for shopping and easy to walk around. Some of our excursions were cancelled due to poor weather (well, you can't change the weather), but we substituted with a lovely day at Perlan. Highly recommend it. On our final day went to the Blue Lagoon. Simply magic! And, we pre-booked a car service to and from the airport. Well worth the cost. Driver was prompt, told us lots of tidbits to visit. Really great. Would certainly recommend the Vintage Hotel. Place was perfect for us!

It's just a few minutes' walk to Bus Stop 1 (City Hall) and Bust Stop 4 (Midbakki), convenient for tour pick-ups. It's also a few minutes' walk to a small corner store, and about 10 min.' walk to a Bonus, netto, and Kronan for groceries. Though we didn't drive, it looks like there's good street parking options. The bed was comfortable, there was enough storage, and the kitchen was adequately equipped. Our unit had a bathtub which was very nice to have.
