Absolutely loved our stay in Ponta Delgada! The apartment was fantastic. Spacious, clean, and wellequipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was excellent, and they were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Claudio and Paulo provided phenomenal attention to detail, and we extended our stay to experience another one of their properties, which was also great.

She was very easy to communicate with and was prompt in replying. Her directions to the location were amazing and she walked me through the cabin and and the grounds to make sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. She even left a lovely gift basket of local treats which was very thoughtful and showed how proud she is of her home country and wants to share that with her guests. Very, very special. The cabin location was amazing with a great view of the village and the ocean with a lovely outdoor covered veranda to sit and eat and take in the view. The kitchen was efficient and well stocked with all you needed to have morning tea or coffee and to cook and make a meal. It was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. At night you could sit out, even in the rain and watch the sunset and in the morning have coffee and watch the sunrise. The Village has some great sights to take in as well as being a great location to drive to other areas with lots of great scenery along the way. The people in the Village are so lovely and social and make you feel like you are part of the community. There are a few local cats and they were the gentlest and sweetest and would come by for visits which was quite nice during the evenings. I highly recommend it for single travelers, couples, and or families.

Whales Bay Hotel Apartments is located in the town of Capelas, São Miguel within a 10-minute drive from Ponta Delgada. The property is 12 km from the airport and 300 meters from natural pools. Great stay in Sao Miguel, Azores The property is very well equipped, the apartment is large overlooking the sea from one side and the garden from the other side. Internet speed was great too. Overall area is very beautiful We recommend to enjoy the products from the bakery for the breakfast, they are very fresh and tasty. We would love to come back. Sunsets and sunrises from here are fabulous.

Fresh breakfast is brought up to your room daily. The location is on a quiet but steep little street, and a pleasant 10-minute walk to town centre. I enjoyed my stay so much that I immediately booked the accommodation again when I returned from a trip to another island.
