The setting is beyond spectacular, well worth the extra drive from Funchal. The village is quaint and friendly, with a food market just up the street and beautiful trails nearby. The apartment is large, yet still cozy, and well maintained. And the hosts are wonderful. I can’t say enough about this apartment. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m hoping to be back as soon as possible.

Bed and linen are included and free WiFi is provided throughout the property. excellent hospitality, Joel and his son, Bruno, were so kind and helpful. the rooms were spotless and made up daily, the fresh fruit upon arrival and daily bread deliveries were thoughtful touches. location was perfect for exploring the island and also getting in and out of Funchal with the ease.

Comfortable and cozy serviced room in an aparthotel, located in the fancy resort area of Funchal, within a 20-minute walk (or a 5-minute bus ride) to the center and a 10-minute bus ride to the nearest beach (Praia Formosa) - unfortunately, there are no reasonable public beaches in town or the resort area and the hotel doesn't have its own one (there's a swimming pool though). The room is well equipped (kitchenette and bathroom amenities), there's a sitting area and also comfortable chairs on the balcony overlooking the yard with a distant sea view. The staff was kind and helpful. All in all, it was a nice stay.
