It is a family owned hotel in the heart of the old-town. I was very warmly welcomed by Yannis late in the evening. He provided a lot of information about the nearby nice restaurants. There was homemade raki, wine, and a delicious cake waiting for me in the room as a compliment. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a bus to Chania in the evening of my departure date. It was the end of the season and apparently there were no other guests to arrive. Knowing that, Yannis offered me to stay until the evening even before I asked. Yannis used to live in this building when he was a child and it seems like he enjoys making people feel at home. If you also enjoy hospitality, I would definitely recommend staying here.

The location of the hotel is superb in a charming street. Just off the main tourist routes which ensures quietness throughout the day and yet everything is very close. The staff were EXCEPTIONALLY kind going way beyond the call of duty. I am particularly grateful to the manager who gave me some suggestions about further visits to Crete (I was touring the island as an independent traveller), which proved out to be fantastic and some of which I would have missed had it not been for him.
