When places are just "good" or "bad", we always leave a review. When a place is Very very special, we sometimes don't....... Some places you really want to keep to yourselves! This time we are making an exception, as the incredible Pension Akropolis is "new" to Booking.com We discovered them 5 years ago when we visited the magical Kira Panagia, very well hidden on the rock directly facing the open sea. We were not able to see it, but we followed our noses and the beautiful smells of the kitchen that promised so much comfort! Ever since we discovered this place we have not stopped talking about it...... This year, after such difficult times with the pandemic, we realised how much we missed Karpathos and the Amazing people there. Re-visiting was like coming back to see your favourite Auntie and Uncle. Ana and Stamatis are the most incredible hosts - So warm, their hospitality comes completely naturally. We wined and dined on delicious homemade meals in their spectacular "Taverna", and were treated to one of their most beautiful studios! Life-changing Views from inside and outside of your room. You feel absolutely cared for at all times :-)) The whole building was designed by Stamatis, and it is one of the most Romantic buildings you will ever see. The setting is beyond Beautiful!!! Wherever you turn, it's a postcard! The Sunrise on your Private balcony is breathtaking! There is so much beauty around you, that sleeping almost feels like a waste of time.... The Beach is just 2-3mins easy walk from the Hotel. Lots of Love from B&W xxxx

Location was spectacular - RIGHT next to the gorgeous church with the most scenic overlook to the beach, which was only a very short walk down a few stairs. You can see the ocean from the. Alfino of the room. Location was absolutely dreamy. The family that runs the hotel took such good care of us and the beach location we chose to make our “homebase” during our Karpathos stay was stellar. Sophia’s Taverna was exceptional. Everything about this visit exceeded our expectations!!

Het is zo een prachtig complex, het is van alle gemakken voorzien en ook is het spiksplinter nieuw!!!! Super veel luxe met het mooiste uitzicht! Het is zo mooi dat je elke dag weer versteld staat!!! Elke dag wordt het heel goed schoon gemaakt, alles ruikt heerlijk en de eigenaar is enorm vriendelijk!!! We hebben de tijd van ons leven gehad!! Het is zo rustig en ronduit perfect!!!! Het is elke euro dubbel en dwars waard en we zullen zeker terugkeren. Onze kinderen hebben het heerlijk gehad, kortom een onvergetelijke tijd! HET WAS GEWELDIG!!!!!!!!!!!

Het zag er prachtig uit. Mooie bloemen, zwembad, terras. Kamer was ook in orde en redelijk schoon. Appartement is comfortabeler als een standaard kamer. Je kan er ontbijten, Lunchen en dineren. Op loopafstand van Karpathos. Met kinderen is het nog wel een eindje. Supermarkt ook op loopafstand.

Perfect location with just a 5 minute walk into the city with all the restaurants and bars. The room with sea-view was perfect for our one week getaway. The apartment had two balconies. Both with a nice view at the ocean. The room came with plenty of supplies for cooking. Bread, coffee and other useful stuff is available at the nearby food market.
