Everything was clean. Great value for.money, good location near the beach and bus station. Breakfast was okay. Reception was the best, the guy told us everything that we needed about Crete, he was the most hepful and we really appreciate that. Pool was clean. Overall, a really nice place to stay.

The decor is a little tired but the friendliness of the family who own this hotel makes all of the difference. We were two singles in separate rooms and each had the equivalent of a serviced apartment suitable for a family of 4. Swimming pool was excellent. Easy walk to shops and tavernas. Buses into Iraklio and on weekdays direct to Knossos. Just watch out different number in each direction. Buy tickets in advance at the supermarket. Local museum with an excellent collection of Minoan and Roman pieces.

The property itself is actually a hotel, so you will get a hotel service, i.e. everyday somebody will change your bedsheets and towels, wash your dishes. The self cocking option is rather rudimentary. There is a kettle and an electric stove, but of rather limited capability. Enough to heat up something, but enough to actually cock.
