The house was well situated between port Ellen and Bowmore, making it an ideal location for exploring the island. The kitchen was very well equipped.

There’s even the option for a tot of single malt on your porridge! The place is spotlessly clean and extremely well decorated, residents have the full run of the downstairs where they can relax in the comfy sofas and enjoy a G&T from the amazing selection of Scottish gins. They also provide evening meals and will happily cater for any special dietary requirements provided you let them know in advance. If you choose to eat out, there are good restaurants in Bowmore, the cleverly named Peatzeria and, in Port Ellen, the Sea Salt Bistro and the Islay Hotel. A visit to one or more of the distilleries on Islay is a must as is a trip to Jura and the wonderful Lussa gin distillery at the far end of the island. Would we stay there again. Absolutely…

The hotel is located in a charming location, surrounded by green fields, mostly arranged for golf, and in the distance you can see the sea. Although the hotel is designed primarily for golfers, I have nothing in common with this sport, but I still felt the energy and joy of being part of this atmosphere. The diner was very tasty and presented in an very elegant way, the restaurant staff very kind and polite. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, served in an place with a beautiful view of surroundings.

El Trout Fly Guest House ofrece alojamiento en el centro de Port Ellen, a pocos minutos de la terminal de ferris y a solo 4,8 km del aeropuerto local. Everything was perfect! Niall&Linda are the best hosts. They were very kind and helpful. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, and Niall makes the most amazing breakfast. His Laphroaig waffles are incredible! Thank you again for the fantastic stay! :)

Great view out of the bedroom over the bay of Port Ellen, clean room, nice bathroom and a lovely, freshly prepared breakfast by the host (at Trout Fly). Niall was an exceptional host, friendly and helpful. You can also park right in front of the property and there is a bus stop nearby.

Cala Sith Guesthouse está en Port Ellen, a 2 min a pie de White Hart Beach y a 2,2 km de Kilnaughton Beach. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis. Fantastic location. Comfortable, home like feeling. But above all a fantastic, warm, friendly, helpful host.
