Jan Harmsgat Country House is set in a historic 17th-century farmhouse surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains and the Breede River. Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful, tranquil surroundings, excellent food ( best breakfast of our whole trip), super friendly staff. Great hiking/ running trails straight from the front door. I don’t usually feel inclined to write reviews but this place was really quite special. Highly recommend it!

My wife and I really appreciated the fact that all the plugs were baby proofed and that there was a camping cot ready to be used if we wanted to use it, considering that we were travelling with our baby. It was also nice having access to the animals on the farm and that my son was able to feed them, with carrots left for us in the fridge by the property owners.

We didn't expect such a place and being welcomed by our hots/chef... Not only this is a place to stay for the night but - under reservation - we did enjoy such a perfect italian 3 courses dinner (ZAR 415/pers.). Our hosts being both "chef"...
