This is an incredible hotel! From the moment you arrive, you are warmly greeted with staff that will help you carry your luggage, hold the doors open etc. Welcome tea was a nice touch. Check in process was smooth with no hiccups. The rooms are fairly new (less than a year old at time of writing), clean and elegantly furnished. Beds are on the softer side but this was good for us. Air con works brilliantly - in fact it got too cold at some points and we had to turn it off! As someone who loves a cold room, this was good. Hotel breakfast buffet was good with a decent selection. I would say it is a cut above the average hotel buffet. Made-to-order meals were good, we had the Pho which is a must try with a light, delicate broth. There is a bar which serves up good coffee. Service was outstanding, from counter staff to the doormen, security etc. Great job, especially by Lily who warmly guided us whenever we needed to throughout our stay. The hotel is located close by to good food - try the Com Ga chicken rice opposite the hotel. Best fried chicken we've ever had. Being away from the old town means you get relative quiet and peace too, especially at night.

Excellent location along the River. About 5min walk into the old town. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is small so it never felt like people were around. Room and bathroom were both excellent, good size. We enjoyed breakfast more than other hotels with optional indoor or outdoor eating. The chef made fresh eggs or pancakes, plenty of fruit, pasties etc. They also have barista coffee. We would definitely return.

Offering a refreshing outdoor pool and a spa center, Nostalgia Hotel and Spa is located just 2953 feet from Japanese Covered Bridge in Hoi An. Everything was perfect. Kevin and My were extremely nice and helpful, the breakfast was warm with a lot of options and the location was perfect, a short walk to the center and an even shorter bicycle ride. They also gave us free bicycles that were great and very useful for exploring the area around the city. If you are looking for a calm and peaceful oasis near the center this is definitely a must for you!

This city is a must visit.
This city is a must visit. The ancient town is photogenic during the day and at night due to its french colonial architecture and rugged appearance. It's also very safe for tourists to roam around town throughout the day. The people here are also very nice to tourists and tend to give more reasonable prices compared to other touristy sites. Traffic here isn't too bad either. It was very easy for us to rent a motorbike and drive around town (something we could never do in Hanoi or Saigon!). Things you should try: Hoi An is known for its: -che (bean and fruit cocktails), -Cao Lau (almost like mi quang, thick rice noodles with pork and crunch pork skin & fresh herbs) -Com Ga (Chicken salad atopped savory chicken flavored rice), -White Rose (like a rice pancake shibao hybrid), -Hoang Thanh Chien (fried wontons, not crab rangoon! but crispy wonton "bruschetta" topped with caramelized sugars) -Night market -Their tailors - we didn't know this but apparently people come from all over to get their clothes tailored here The Quang Nam province is popular for its seafood so if you've managed to hit up the surround Danang area (which is very close to Hoi An), check out - their fresh seafood selections (to DIE for) - Mi Quang (thick rice noodles dish) - Bun Mam (rice noodles with a stinky shrimp sauce. It's on the dryer side compared to Saigon's Bun Mam, but equally delicious if you can get past the smell) -Their beaches, of course, and all the other touristy stuff to do
