Brand new structure, large and equipped rooms, strategic location 15 minutes walk from the center and the port of Madalena. The reception ladies very nice and helpful. We couldn't find any flaws!

Located on Madalena, Pico Island, Caravelas is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on 3 sides and overlooks Faial Island. It features an outdoor pool, a 24-hour reception, and car rental. We had a nice and comfortable room with a little basket of fruits for your welcome. The room had a nice balcony with a view to the harbour and Faial. In a minute you can reach the harbour and the city centre. There is a cleaning service everyday (if you need it). The breakfast buffet is really big and has a lot of offerings (they even had soy milk and milk without lactose; lots of bread, ham, cheese, cereals with different seeds, lots of fruits, many cakes, eggs, beans and so on...). The staff is very polite. We are not used to big hotels and normally stay at smaller/simpler places so we missed nothing at all.

Stephen and pedro are amazing hosts for a hostel. The experience of one big happy family of travelers. Especially on my first solo trip I was welcomed with open arms, good suggestions for what to do and a very nice hostel dinner/breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at Casa do Mar. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful view of the sea and Faial island on one side, and of Mount Pico on the other. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location - walkable distance from Madalena center and from several natural pools, and a 10-minute drive from the airport. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would absolutely recommend!
