Situated within 5.9 km of Estadio Enrique Torres Belon and 5.9 km of Puno Port, Luz del Titicaca Lodge features rooms in Puno. I highly recommend this beautiful stay in such a special spot, it is not everyday that you wake up on a floating island surrounded by a beautiful lake. Joel & his wife Luz were extremely helpful & welcoming from day 1. I arrived on Sunday evening from Cuzco (Peru Rail) and Joel arranged a taxi to pick me up from the station to the small port (15soles) where he picked me up on his boat. The room is massive and beautifully decorated with glass windows. They prepared a nice dinner and gave me a hot water bottle as it’s very chilly at night although you have plenty of duvets and blankets and a heater to keep you warm. The next morning I woke up to a beautiful scenery and Joel and Luz lent me the traditional custom and took me around the totora boat to show me some of the other islands, the local school and they medical center (the doctors come only twice a week so for emergencies they have to head to Puno). We also stopped to collect some fish from his fishing net which was their lunch that day. I was initially planning on staying one night only however as Joel explained to me the story of the islanders, how they live and the very welcoming expedience I extended my trip by an extra night. If you want to experience the real Uros lifestyle, with a very welcoming family this is the one for you!

El Tierra Viva Puno Plaza està situat a 50 m de la plaça principal de Puno, de la catedral i del carrer principal de Jiron Lima. The location is amazing, just a few steps from the Plaza de Armas and Avenida Lima, where you can find good restaurants and anything you need. The staff was amazing, our bed was huge and comfortable and breakfast was good. We were able to leave our luggage in the reception while touring Uros. Overall very satisfied.

This was a surprise actually, didn’t know what to expect but it’s a really nice well kept hotel away from the chaos of the city. Our room was modest and although we only had one night here on our transit to Cusco, it’ll be high on my list when we go back. The staff is also very welcoming and pleasant.

The foremost thing we liked were the family (Juan, Elsa and their amazing children). They were super kind and what they have build on their island is amazing. The typical boat tour was super interesting and de textile workshop was interesting, but a little expensive for what it contains. The food Elsa cooked was amazing and delicious. The room was better than expected. The view is great and the beds are comfortable.

Boasting a garden, terrace and views of city, Casitas del Titicaca Peru is set in Puno, 5.9 km from Estadio Enrique Torres Belon. This was one of the best trips that we did while we were in Peru, the rooms are quite big, they're very nice and clean. When we were there, it wasn't extremely cold, so we were fine with all the blankets we had in the rooms. Eder is a very good host. He runs the hotel with his family. He took us to show how they lived and what they ate. He also took us to see the community of the Uros islands, told us about their history, what they have been through, and they're going through as Uros people. He was so nice and kind like the rest of his family. The food... we ate one of the best fish (trucha) that we have ever eaten in our lives. My sister doesn't like fish, and even she didn't even leave a single piece on her plate. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and all of them were very, very good. We were very satisfied with our stay.

We were able to check in early after an overnight bus, we ordered room service which was lovely, and reception were able to arrange us a taxi when we were leaving.

Puno és un poble més aviat lleig. Va ser més encertat dormir als Uros directament (us recomano Uros Qhantany, d'en Wilber).

La situació a la vora del Llac Titicaca és inmillorable.
La situació a la vora del Llac Titicaca és inmillorable. El problema és que està a 40 km de Puno (que no val la pena) i aixó fa que un cop allà no es pugui visitar res més que el propi llac. És però molt recomanable i fàcil llogar una llanxa particular que fa el recorregut a Illa Takile i Illes Flotantes de los Uros, i aixó sí que val la pena.
