Superb and friendly owner and staff. Achmed, the owner, helped us out when we got stuck in tbe sand upon arrival. At night he gave a free tour into the desert, including a small campfire. Next morning he arranged a cameltour and gave us a daylight tour with his 4WD.

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. The location and the camp are very good, you are really in the middle of the desert. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! The room are very authentic and put you into a feeling of the traditional culture. The journey to the camp is also great in driving through the dunes. The staff is very friendly and can offer many activities on short notice such as camel rides, dune bashing etc. They also organize a nice buffet breakfast and dinner.

Situated in Bidiyah, Moon Light Camp features accommodation with seating area. The campground has family rooms. All units have a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. We had an extraordinarily wonderful time at the camp. The settings were all top notch. The beddings were squeaky clean, the shower and electricity gave it an extra notch. The host organized a sunset dune bashing and they took us for a once in a lifetime ride for a great sunset. We had wonderful Omani dinner and breakfast at the camp, and we were stuffed every single time. The camp was very quiet at night and we cannot imagine how it would get any better than this.

Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. When researching for a camp, i found myself flooded with options and read millions of reviews. They all seemed very similar and offered the same activities. However, this camp’s perfect reviews, especially the ones about how awesome of a person Rashid is, definitely called my attention. And after staying at this camp, i can 100% agree. Rashid made our experience a thousand times better. He made us feel welcomed from the start, made us laugh like few people do, and didn’t hesitate to answer any question we had about his country and culture. He shared the meals with us, took us to all the activities and made us enjoy them even more. He even went out of his way to show us and make us interact with camels and their babies that were out in the dessert, an experience we will never forget! The tent was huge, with a really comfortable bed and a private bathroom (which not many camps have for what i’ve researched). The food was really really good and just kept coming, even when we were full 😅 There was free water, tea, coffee and fruit available at all times for us. All in all, a great stay, amazing experience and the nicest host. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Oman!

"My sister and I have been in Oman for 2 days in October and we slept in dune camp for 1 night... Since we had so few time we asked Said to help us organizing our trip around in Oman... It was the greatest host ever!! Everything was perfect and organized in details, we have been there for 2 days but it seems like we have stayed there for 1 week for how many things we had the opportunity to do! The camp in the desert was such a beautiful experience, observing the sunrise and sunset on the dunes, eating typical dinner watching the desert's stars and sleeping in tent...Said always cared we were having the best of our time! We are bringing back home lovely memories of a lot of laughs and lot of beautiful places seen! A special thank also to our super driver Zayed, who drove us in several places and always cared as well everything was fine! You guys were the best, thank you for making our trip so special!"
