Hidden Lake Hotel & Apartments has a fitness centre, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Cambridge. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 15 km of Mystery Creek Events Centre. Everything was just great! We stayed in the two bedrooms appartment. It is clean (!), has well equipped kitchen (big fridge, microwave, oven, nespresso Maschine, etc.), spacious bathroom. More than enough space for the family of 4 with a lot of bags. Breakfast was delicious - you can choose from the menu - French toast was just great! Service was superb! Thanks a lot to the whole team! Very child friendly - at breakfast our son immediately got coloring book and origami set. Location is also great - close to the downtown, but in a quiet corner near the lake. A lot of restaurants right nearby and big supermarket just across the road. Nothing more to wish for!

The view out the back onto an open field was amazing. We did some star gazing and got some amazing pictures. It is also very close to Hobbiton, which we went to in the morning.

It is a small, elegant, and beautiful accommodation space. Penny prepared many New Zealand locally-produced tea, coffee, chocolate drinks, and biscuits. Even the bathroom supplies are made in New Zealand, such as shampoo and soap! The room is equipped with a TV that can access the internet, allowing us to search for TV programs we want to watch on YouTube. Laurie and Penny not only recommended excellent local restaurants, but also kindly reminded us of the time changes during the daylight saving. I have to say, the breakfast bags prepared by Penny gave us a good mood after setting off. The chocolate muffins and blueberry muffins, along with fruit yogurt and juice, were a perfect combination.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Conach House is set in Karapiro, within 10 km of Cambridge Town centre. Megan & Shane were exceptional hosts. Goldfish/koi pond with running waterfall style fountain provided relaxing view from patio. We were able to enjoy the hot tub as well. Megan provided wonderful breakfasts that included home-baked breads, muffins, & homegrown honey from their own bee hives, plus fresh fruits, yogurts, & cereals. Megan provided valuable information on local shops, restaurants, and navigating the area. An unexpected added pleasure was the occasional welcome visit/greeting from owners sweet pet dog, Lola making a morning appearance on patio. Location was excellent as we were within walking distance of Lake Karapiro venue for IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival we were participating in. We highly recommend a stay at Conach house.
