Set in Mount Cook National Park, The Hermitage Hotel features a range of rooms and suites all offering majestic mountain views, and most with views of Mount Cook. Great to wake up with the view of Mount Cook in front of you. The dinner buffet, which is paid additionally, is good and with great variety. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed!

Aoraki Court Motel is a modern accommodation located in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. All units feature great views of surrounding mountains and Mount Sefton. The rooms very modern and clean! The kitchen area was well stocked and the bathroom had great soaps and had a fantastic shower and tub. The best part however was having the huge window that had a stunning view of mount Cook!! Just amazing!! Also having laundry available was great! (Does cost $4 for wash, $5 for dry but really nice quick machines!) Beds were comfortable and location was awesome. Only a 3 min drive or a 25 min walk to Hook Valley Trail. (And 5 min drive to Mt Cook airport for Heli adventures) Great walking trails behind the hotel as well and several decent food options around the area.

Situated in Mount Cook National Park and offering beautiful mountain views, Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge is a 5-minute walk from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. Beautiful lookout from the dining room. Good choice if you plan to cook in Mt Cook.

Situated Among the Southern Alps, Haka House Aoraki Mt Cook features views of Mount Cook, and is 200 metres from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. Great location, great set up, comfortable beds!

Glentanner Park is a holiday park and activity centre offering affordable accommodation and panoramic views of Aoraki Mount Cook and Mount Cook National Park. Not so many people during the first night, there is a toilet and a sink in the dorm so that's good. A good surprise, they provide a towel for all the guests. It's quite rare to see that for backpackers. I drove from Picton to Glentanner (8 hours drive) it's really good that they let you do a late check-in. It's not completely indicated in their description but they let your key in the mailbox with the instruction.

Situated near Lake Tekapo in the Canterbury region, Mount Cook Station Huts provides accommodation with free WiFi. Guests can also relax in the garden. I loved the calm environment and the beautiful, comfy huts. Everything was super clean and tidy. I really like the closeness of animals like cute fallow deers and that they don't fear people. All in all I really recommend this place for nature enthusiastic, relaxed people.

Such a privilege for the Mt Cook Station family to let us share a taste of their stunning corner of the island on this busy working farm. Tucked away from all the Mt Cook tourism and yet seemingly within touching distance of Aoraki. Spectacular views on the drive in - along almost the full length of the east coast of beautiful Lake Pukaki..the approach from Lake Tekapo if you drive 'over the top' is pretty special as the vistas gradually open up to the west as you come across. The Shearers' quarters are clean and tidy ..well appointed and comfortable with fab cooking facilities and great hot showers. Access to some wonderful walks on the property with astonishing views across to Aoraki. Alana is clearly very proud of her business and is a warm engaging host. Just be aware...you are WELL OFF the beaten track here. That's the joy of Mt Cook Shearers' quarters.
