Stunning island setting with view to Isletas and towards Mount Mombacho on the other side of the island. It felt magical as we were the sole visitors. The room was well appointed and luxurious. A shame our hi-tech shower had no hot water, for this price I expect a high end bathroom experience, the water was cold the mini bar was empty and no tea/coffee making facility. The staff however were friendly.

Isleta El Espino is a private island in Lake Nicaragua, just outside of the colonial city of Granada. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant on site. The most amazing place we have ever been. The island is super small and we were the only guests. The room, the food, the staff, the views and sounds of the nature were just faboulus.

The accommodations are simple and very clean, situated in a separate building from their home. I mentioned I had caught a cold, and they prepared me a special traditional tea to help with my symptoms - and they also insisted that I fill my thermos with it for later. Their kindness is what makes their accommodation so special.
