Situated in Helensburgh and with Glasgow Botanic Gardens reachable within 38 km, Rooms Above Sugar Boat features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. I really enjoyed my stay at Sugar Boat. The room was well-designed, spotless and the bed was super comfy. The shower was great and there were some extra features like a kettle, a selection of teas, ground coffee, and two freshly baked shortbread cookies. I had dinner at their bistro with their soup of the day (red cabbage with sour cream), accompanied by crispy and buttery sourdough bread. At breakfast, I wanted to try their porridge and it was scrumptious. The quality of each ingredient was high, portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable. The staff were kind and easy-going. I definetely recommend Sugar Boat and hope to return soon.

We had two rooms booked and both were amazing, even nicer than in the photos. The rooms had unique touches to them and the beds were very comfy. Wonderful breakfast (including fresh berries); staff who made us feel at home. And a record player and vinyls in the rooms!!

Near Helensburgh seafront, The County Lodge Hotel has free WiFi and free parking. Rhu Marina is a 10-minute drive away. Location was excellent didn’t have breakfast but will do next time we stay when I visit daughter at faslane
