Hotel in Helensburgh
Located in Helensburgh and with Glasgow Botanic Gardens reachable within 24 miles, Rooms Above Sugar Boat has a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. I really enjoyed my stay at Sugar Boat. The room was well-designed, spotless and the bed was super comfy. The shower was great and there were some extra features like a kettle, a selection of teas, ground coffee, and two freshly baked shortbread cookies. I had dinner at their bistro with their soup of the day (red cabbage with sour cream), accompanied by crispy and buttery sourdough bread. At breakfast, I wanted to try their porridge and it was scrumptious. The quality of each ingredient was high, portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable. The staff were kind and easy-going. I definetely recommend Sugar Boat and hope to return soon.

And then you get to arrive (much later than intended, but that's Scotland for you...😅 way too much beauty not to stop in between) the peace and quiet, with a beautiful letter on the door containing all the explanation that was needed. In the morning we were received a Scottish welcom, warm and pure, with a joke on the side.. But then breakfast! Wow! Delicious, everything and more than you could wish for. And to finish we got some nice tips where we could find more beautiful things on our walks, wonderful, there are no words for it. We will definitely come back! That is for sure
