Situated in Äkäslompolo, 41 km from Kolari Train Station, Arctic Skylight Lodge features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Beautifully located in the forest, it’s like stepping into a fairytale! Room was modern and cosy with a great bed. Very kind staff and delicious food. I was really impressed by how the kitchen dealt with food restrictions. Will never forget watching the stars and northern lights from our bed. Fully recommend, would come back for sure!

Offering a year-round outdoor hot tub, Aurora Estate is located in Ylläsjärvi in the Lapland Finland Region. The hotel has an outdoor fireplace in the summer and a private beach area. Aurora Estates is a lovely little gem with a great restaurant. Our room was small, but cozy with great water pressure in the shower! Very quiet, with easy access to all the fun winter activities.

Good and spacious chalet appartment with kitchen. Good breakfast. EV charging possibility (Type2 3x16A, 5€ full charge). Close to a ski lifts. Good spa. Good restaurant.

This peaceful hotel lies within 5 minutes’ drive of Ylläs Ski Resort. Guests enjoy free gym and sauna access, as well as free private parking. A regular ski bus stops nearby. Really affordable room, that delivered beyond expectations. Breakfast was included which was really good. Lastly, great Sauna! 👍

Hotel Ylläshumina is beautifully situated by Lake Äkäslompolo, near the village of Äkäslompolo. Fairytale hotel, wonderful to be holed up there in the winter with the snow falling all around. Food was great (amazing breakfast, gorgeous dinners), nice sauna, handy for skiing and other activities (ski bus takes you direct to the slopes in about 15 mins and is pretty regular.) Rooms spacious, well designed and clean, comfy beds and decent shower. It’s the staff though that really made the difference. A happy family of people who went out of their way to look after me, a warm welcome at reception and bending over backwards to look after me at dinner…as a solo traveller it means the world.

This hotel is located in the centre of the village of Ylläsjärvi, 100 metres from Lake Ylläsjärvi. Hotel is spacious with great breakfast and nice and warm sauna. Many common areas to spend time with your friends.

The Lapland Hotel Ylläskaltio provides functional accommodation with ski routes and sledding tracks starting right outside the door. A ski shuttle is available from the front of the hotel. Well situated; near the lake, which is an excellent spot for Northern lights (w/o street lighning) and very close to good Snowfunsafari where we booked all our excursions, next door to a gourmet restaurant Poro. The breakfast of the hotel if excellent, large variety of dishes. We enjoyed local and continental breakfast (our doughters loved the self made gauffres :-) We did not test the dinner. We also loved there were available slides and local "potkuri" to have a ride on the snow.

Korpikelo provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 36 km of Kolari Train Station. Beautiful wooden cabin, fully equipped kitchen, sauna, fireplace, free parking slot and very good location, clos to the skiing resort.

Situated within 37 km of Kolari Train Station in Äkäslompolo, B&B Adventures features accommodation with seating area. The decoration in the upstairs common room was very inviting and created a cozy vibe. The young woman welcoming us and cooking our breakfast was very friendly and it was nice chatting to her and the other guests in the kitchen. The B&B was a short walk away from several restaurants in the very small town.
