Owner Johanna is a star in kindness and flexibility. I booked on the same day as I arrived, and even though I showed up by her surprise, she was very welcoming. The boutique hotel is in a perfect condition, with a personal touch that makes you feel at home, rooms are very good and spacy with great facilities. Breakfast is excellent.

Just 100 metres from the bridge to Olavinlinna Castle, this small boutique hotel is next to Lake Saimaa in Savonlinna. It offers individually decorated rooms with scenic views and free wired internet.... The place is amazing, perfectly situated on the lakeshore, with lovely apartments. The host is fantastic, helpful and willing to offer advices on the places to visit.

This 1930s hotel, designed by Finnish architect Wivi Lönn, lies on Lake Saimaa. Olavinlinna Castle is only 400 metres away. It offers free Wi-Fi, a quiet setting and cosy, individually decorated... A lovely traditional hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. The location is one of the best in Savonlinna and can't fault the service. We had a family celebration which was organised smoothly, and the food was really tasty and catered to our exacting requirements.

Spahotel Casino is located on a private island on Lake Saimaa, 500 m from city center of Savonlinna and the 15th-century Olavinlinna Castle is 1.5 km away. Friendly staff and large rooms with good view.

This hotel is set in a renovated late 19th-century building by the shores of Lake Saimaa. It offers free WiFi, a terrace and rooms with minibars and seating areas. we got a very special room with a loft bed and a small stove with an oven which we used for the evening meal. The breakfast was plentiful with a very good croissant in a nearby restaurant.

Located 500 metres from Savonlinna Train Station, this hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from the 15th-century Olavinlinna Castle. All rooms offer a TV and minibar. The property is perfectly located next to the center, market, restaurants, grocery shop, train station, boat piers, only the long distance bus station is inconveniently located in totally different neighborhood. The room is modest and the bathroom somewhat inconvenient because of the placement of sanitary fittings in the bathroom. Anyway, everything was doing its job in a satisfactory way. It is also true that the price was quite high, but this is something that is so understandable for the July when famous opera festival/event takes place in the nearby castle/fortress of Olavinlinna. Also, I have noticed that Savonlinna, even without the opera festival is so admired by so many visitors from all parts of Finland and foreign countries, myself included, because of its astonishing beauty and possibility to enjoy in so many sights and activities. To conclude, although the room was simple and modest and although the price was high, I would return to this property because it represents a very good choice for staying and enjoying wonderful Savonlinna.

Situated on the picturesque Kasinosaari Island, this hotel is within 5 minutes’ walk of Savonlinna-Kauppatori Station and the main street, Olavinkatu. Incredible location, the rooms where cozy and comfy, the staff were super friendly, the food from the restaurant was really good, and the whole place was pet friendly. The spa pools and sauna were also amazing and the price was really good. Overall, a really, really good experience!
