A very unusual experience - staying in a posh beautifully renovated mansion felt like a treat. The breakfast was delicious, and they also have a well rated restaurant inside.

Hotel La Alfonsina is set in Santibáñez de Villacarriedo, 24 km from Santander. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Everything! Huge room and comfortable bed, a balcony with a wonderful view of the surrounding nature. The hotel has a homey family atmosphere. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. Gema and Alfonso were super nice and helpful with everything we wanted during the whole stay. I really recommend this vacation! P.S. Go for a dinner at Alfonso's restaurant, it's really good!!!! Would have given it a 20 if it was possible.

This small, attractive hotel is over 100 years old and situated in the picturesque Cantabrian village, Puente de Viesgo is famous for its prehistoric caves and stunning countryside surroundings. We were travelling by motorcycle and the nice girl who greeted us let us park in a safe place in the garden which we appreciated. Breakfast was good. The garden was very pretty and drinks were good value. They do a lunch menu of the day until 16:00 which was popular , but as we went out walking we ate from the standard menu at night. It was very clean everywhere and staff were friendly and helpful considering we do not speak Spanish.

Incredibly beautiful house, lovingly restored/maintained. Ana is really really kind and takes care of any and all needs. It's also lovely and quiet whilst very close to the town center.

Palacio De Trasvilla is in Escobedo De Villafufre, in the Cantabrian countryside, a 30-minute drive from Santander Airport. It features an outdoor pool, and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Totally unique. Literally like staying in a small palace as it was so luxurious! Our host was most helpful and very friendly.

Set in Saro, Akla Hotel Suites Valles Pasiegos has a shared lounge, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. Private parking is available. Cabarceno is a 23-minute drive from the property. Nice quiet location. Room was spacious. Bed very large. Staff were all nice, especially Raul, who was extremely helpful.
