The location of the guest house is in a calm and nice place in the beautiful village in the mountains. The lady is very friendly and helpful. The staff was extremely nice. We had the suite as a family of 4, which is on the top floor with a beautiful terrace to relax facing the extraordinary Cadi mountain. Breakfast was great with viennoiseries, bread butter jam and local sausages and cheeses, and tomatoes. They serve also lunch and diner of good quality, which is very handy when you don’t want to leave for town for food. Don’t miss the grilled pork foot, it’s delicious. They organize shows or events some evenings and I have watched a cabaret shown. The village is beautiful, all stone houses. From there, paths go to other villages and are the occasion for hiking with stunning views on the Cadi to the south and the Pyrenees to the north. Down the village taking the path to the left, we get to a stream with pools wonderfully refreshing in the hot summer. A true delight. At night, a few pace on the path to the north behind the church and the starry night is spectacular. Don’t miss the wool fabric down by the Segre river, you’ll see how blankets and socks were woven 100 years ago on highly sophisticated woving machines. 12 km to the west, the medieval town of La Seu d’Urgell is the right place to go for diner, have a coffee or go to the outdoor market (Tuesday’s and Saturday’s) with all the local products etc. , white water sports, and the cathedral. Altogether, we stayed a whole week and had a wonderful time.
