Located in Alajuela and surrounded by mountains and tropical gardens, Recreo Verde Hot Springs & Spa offers an outdoor swimming pool and hot springs. Free private parking is also available. The place was like paradise in the middle of the jungle. We were on a business trip but the family went with us and stayed at the hotel while we worked. The hotel offers amazing natural hot spring water pools, very relaxing after work. We really enjoyed it.

Hotel Rosa De Sharon is located in the town of Venecia in Alajuela and offers free WiFi access available. Each functional and simple room here will provide you with a TV. The staff is very friendly and attentive, they even offered to take me to another hotel that they have a partnership with at no extra cost, they said the rooms were better at the other place but I didn't mind staying at this hotel since it was just for the night.

I loved that there was a private jacuzzi in the room. The food was INCREDIBLE. The staff was so sweet and helpful. I would 100% come back again and recommend this place to everyone.

Offering a restaurant on-site, Bosque de Paz Reserva Biologica is located in Alajuela. The property boasts a large terrace offering stunning views of the surrounding nature. We loved how peaceful and secluded this place is. Mario treated us really well and showed us a lot of different animals and gave us great local tips. The food was also excellent and home made. Rooms are spacious and clean! You have several paths leading from the property to the forest.
