Offering stylishly furnished rooms with balconies and coffee machines and free Wi-Fi, the Testa Grigia hotel has been completely renovated in 2010. Hotel Garni Testa Grigia is in an excellent location on the main street of Zermatt, less than 5 minutes walking from the train station. Check in was smooth and the receptionists at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The room was small as was to be expected for a single room but modern (better looking thant the photos) and had everything I needed. Value was very good for Zermatt, even the breakfast was included.

We stayed in the penthouse (8 people), and we could not be more satisfied! Amazing Matterhorn view from the balcony, living room and from one of the bedrooms. Extremely helpful staff (special thanks to the reception desk).

When we arrived it was raining so it fit perfectly to us haha. Also, we were expecting just a pool with warm water but were pleasantly surprised that it also had hydromassage. There was a bath and a shower in the room. Big terrace. The facilities were so great - gym and spa, the breakfast area, just perfect. You could register each morning for free yoga classes! The location is super central just a couple of minutes walk to the railway station. The grocery store is 5 min walk.

Right from the time they picked us up from the train station, the experience was nothing short of WOW. The Hotel itself is very well located, right next to the Ski lifts. If you have kids, they'd love the entrance to the hotel, from a tunnel. The facilities and amenities at the property are all very good and efficient. Extra points for the staff who are extremely courteous and always ready to help.

Hotel Ambassador was excellent with a stunning view of the Matterhorn and incredibly close to the train station it was easy to get to. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful always willing to help as needed. The room while small had all needed amenities and kept a lovely cabin feel! The new Carbon restaurant is a must try the food was beyond excellent and the staff in the restaurant were fantastic.
