The staff was absolutely amazing. We were scammed with our booked accommodation and had no accommodation during the July holidays. We took a chance to see whether Reef gateway hotel could accommodate us the night before our booking with them. They were really busy but the lovely staff made it happen. We will be forever grateful. I really like the laundry facilities as well.

Motor Lodge Castle is 2.5 km from Horseshoe Bay Beach and 4 km from Bowen Golf Course. It is a 45-minute drive from the north of Airlie Beach. Property was clean, lovely clean swimming pool. Had a beautiful dog called Aussie. Staff were polite and friendly.

Free undercover parking is available. Close to airport and train station. We stayed here for our last night in Airlie as we were getting an early train. Never stayed anywhere so clean. Lady on the desk was lovely and we got some good use out of the pool too

Due to flash flooding and storms we got stranded in Proserpine for 5 days with no accomodation. John and Julie at Reef Gardens Motel found us a room and went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. They provided us with clean towels every day of our stay and nothing we asked was too much. They cleaned our room consistently and offered to drive us to the local supermarket so we could stock up on some food until the weather had cleared and the airport was back up and running. Thank you both for looking after the 3 of us during this tricky time!
